Hi ! looks like you started from London, so i m guessing you re from there ! I also know London a bit ! been trucking there too ! for 2c summers i was delivering in all the Home Depot stores in Southern Ontario ! in London i had 2 stores to deliver i remember one was at the noth end of the town ! then i would go to Sarnia and end in Windsor wich i had a Rona store to go to but i heard they moved to another town ! I did so much trucking in 35 years that i can t remember everything ! lol ! I remember it was 25 years ago i would leave Montreal with 22 stores in the trailer ! I was delivering MAXX tubs and showers ! that s a company from around Quebec city ! Ste Marie de Beauce, to be exact ! lol ! That job was one of the easiest one ! not heavy, all on appointments just open the trailer doors was all the manual work ! lol ! it was like vacation to me with my girlfriend ! compare to B-train flat-bed with tarps ! that was a bit harder work but keeping me in shape more than just driving ! 😎
We are from London England and flew to Toronto and then onto Kelowna BC where we collected the Lincoln and started the road trip
Ok ! i m confused with the tittle but it s ok cuz i know most of all the roads in Canada coast to coast from trucking for 35 years ! Love the Rockies, the cars and good music ! still wonder why you don t show towns much ! I see the 3 valley motel wich is very nice and old ! Then you skip Revelstoke and start filming after lol, then you skip Golden and film a bit after around Yoho park ! i guess the goal was the scenery ! that s great too ! I been trucking the Rockies for 10 years from Edmonton to Vancouver via Jasper and Kamloops and also starting from Calgary with loads of dynamite for the mines around Kamloops also hauling grocery for a few years from Edmonton to Prince Rupert and Whitehorse Yukon and also dynamite to Yellowknife NWT! before and after all that i did the East coast to Newfoundland and started my highway trucking from PEI to Montreal and Toronto in 1985 ! did haul Pork from Montreal area to Toronto GTA. for 7 years aslo hauling steel and lumber and drywall ! geez i must stop now because i can keep going on for pages and pages ! lol ! 😋😎🤠 ps: i also had many old cars, trans-ams t-top with 400 big block 1978 also GTO with 400 big block and a nice 78 Thunderbird with a 351 cleveland among many more these were my fav. oouf ok ! now back home around Montreal and retired ! nice to be home after living in trucks for 35v years ! bye now ! stay safe !
Looks like you have done a lot of travelling to, you must have seen a lot in 35 years of trucking, we are planning on coming back over in September and buying another classic car and doing another road trip, where are you located ? If we end up close enough we could meter up for a chat. the ideas for our videos is to do a series taking in all the scenery along the way and then the next series of videos will be all the small towns along the way like Kelowna, Revelstoke etc. if we tried to do it all in 1 series of videos they would be 2/3 hours long,
Awesome car
I was 15 when I heard this song , and still laugh every time I think of it when driving my V8 Toyota Crown through Western Australia.
It’s a good song for any road trip, we might do a road trip across Australia one day
Don't be afraid to freshen up those shocks. You think it rides nice now, you'd be amazed with new shocks in the front. In the rear I used independent left and right air shocks so I could level her out from side to side (and get a little support in the corners). The Lincolns are sure real ladies. There's nothing like them!
I have tried to get rear air shocks and can’t find them anywhere, where did you get yours from
Welcome to our great province. I haul antique vehicles all over canada. I know where theres motors for those cars
That’s a great job, I would enjoy hauling vehicles all over Canada, I have some friends in Unity SK and Stettler AB, where are you based out of
Interesting... i got a 1989 lincoln that i wanna freshen up, do you recommend any shops out west?
ya got the 460....or the 400 in that one...i have the 460 in my 1977 mark 5....she's a pig on fuel, but get's alot of Smiles per gallon!!!!L)
@@bestoflincolnmotorcompany yes got the 460, but I agree the smiles per gallon outweigh the miles per gallon
Vermillion Bay.👍😁
Yes you are correct Vermillion Bay, well done for spotting the location.
Thatd be fun.. good song 😁🇨🇦🔊
I play that song every morning when we leave the house, it starts the day off right lol
I love Lincoln. I own three of them.
@@richardgreen4567 they are nice cars, I have owned 3 Mark V and a couple of town cars

Yes I agree, a good old instrument panel that you can read and a pleasure to drive on a road trip
How much did you spend on fuel? How many km.? Thanks
We traveled 5,000 miles and the fuel bill was $1,250 Canadian

You should have taken us for a spin in her.... But the car is excellent, and the Moonroof doubles the excellency ..... I had an 84 Rivera, Moonroof, just a bit more grey then yours, all the trimmings.... Yours is almost as pretty as she was.... 😜
Would have taken you for a spin, where did we meet you
I think the color suits that car perfectly.
Yes I agree, the color definitely suits the car
Very clean

I feel your pain pmsl I had a black car once and never again either good luck with the sale😅😅
@@Olly-e5y people that have black cars fully understand lol. My problem is you can’t beat a black car when it’s all polished so I now also have an F 150 and yes it’s black
@MrThompsonusa I know but the don't stay polished long like you never buy another but your video cracked me up

My parents had a red one but the motor blew out so they threw it away in the junk yard. They regreted later 😂
@@adape0884frank we all regret things, it’s a shame they junked it
@MrThompsonusa I know it was 35 years ago and we regret it tremendously 🤣 My dad put some cardboard pieces over the front grill cover make the heater work and that's when gaskets broke on the manifold cover and so engine over heated causing it to die 🤣😂
@@adape0884frank that will definitely do some damage

My friends dad had this one. He got a new one every other year. He was CEO of his company made 80k a year plus bonuses like that beauty.
A brand new one back in the day would have been nice
beautiful car.....you have shown it many times.....where is the road trip.....???

👍 Last of the big Marks... quite a beauty.

I'm so glad that you made the trip and now sharing photos and video clips. A road trip quickly becomes a milepost in life, sometimes to the point that memories are organized as "before trip", or "after trip". It's very noticeable as time passes. I feel that a road trip should never be postponed because a road trip delayed can become a road trip never taken. Wonderful video, Mark.
@@eddstarr2185 I agree, road trips create a lot of memories good and not so good but all memories are something to look back on, the adventure is the destination
Most beautiful car of the 70’s
I would definitely have to agree with you on that statement
What a classy elegant looking car. I bet it’s been pure heaven driving that beauty. I just acquired a low mileage original 79 MK V myself. Can’t wait to go get it. I’m in the Midwest and I’ll be driving it back from the west coast in a couple weeks. It’s not as nice as yours but with a little bit of love it will come close. Enjoy that beauty before it’s time to put her away for the winter. Cheers
I can assure you that you will enjoy your road trip immensely, sounds like it will be a great road trip, remember to take photos of your car at every stop for the memories
How’s the Mark V handling the long drive? 460 in it? My Mark V was bought new in Alberta, now it’s with me in northern Ontario.
The Lincoln drove nice, had to put a new starter in at Spruce Grove Alberta, and a new Master cylinder installed at Moose Jaw, other than those 2 things the car was faultless
Beautiful Mark V, wish I could take mine on a road trip like you are doing. Maybe in 2025, my car is put away for the winter, im in Ontario.

I have a 78 Mark V, it’s always the only Continental at the car cruise nights and gets lots of attention, especially about it’s size. All original and like new, love driving it, now it’s put away for winter, so it’s always a long wait until I can drive it again. It is a great highway cruiser, the best luxury coupe of the 70’s.

Expect zero tolerance from the OPP. They're the worst. They happen to be the highest paid in the province. Just do the math.
i drove from toronto to vancouver when i was 20. every one says "the prairies are so boring". for me the prairies were incredible. i grew up in north vancouver with those annoying mountains blocking my view. it was early spring, giant blue skies in every direction all the way. some farms were burning the crops for whatever reason and it was incredible.
I agree, the prairies are beautiful, and the wide open skies are amazing, the Saskatchewan licence plate says “land of the living skies” and that is very true
