La fabricación de esta maquina para lanzar pelotas de tenis fue un reto que me planteé después de ver un hilo en un foro, del cual saque múltiples ideas. Pero lo mejor de todo, fue lo que disfruté construyéndola.

Im wonderinh if a different design on the ball dropping mechanism would work. Balls simply fall down a tube that is blocked by a trap door. An actuator opens the trap door for each ball drop. Do something like a car door actuayor is needed and timing cirxuit. What do you think?

I just don't get it... You spent what - 20 hours at BEST building this? Even at a Shop Bill Rate of $80/hr, your device cost $1600 in labor alone. These projects are only interesting if you can actually (and GENUINELY) build them with ORDINARY parts & skill for far far UNDER a typical "new" price tag like the Slinger Bag for only $715 delivered. I get the impression you guys are all shop nuts first... and tennis players far far far second. FRIENDLY CHALLENGE: Start with something far CHEAPER than a $715 Slinger Bag (say a pitching machine?) and turn THAT into a TennisBallLauncher far far FASTER and CHEAPER than building something from SCRATCH in a shop. THEN you'll be onto something ! :-)
Yeah but think of it this way, Tennis ball machines break down frequently. If you build it yourself, you can easily repair it anytime it breaks, and make changes to strengthen weak areas that you find.

My gosh. What an aggressive comment, lmfao. What about the customizability factor? With your own machine, you’re able to include features like: serving (height adjustment), wider range of speeds and angles, recoil mitigation (more precise shots) via line detection, etc…

nice project. is the wheel also working, if the box is full with balls? mine gets stuck, if i have it full with balls. I think the torque is too small, cause im not using gears like you and attached the motor directly to the wheel

Fantastic. Most from spare parts, it appears. In a world where it seems no one makes or fixes anything anymore this was a great thing to see. You could make money from the plans as I am sure there are more out there like you, who would attempt a project such as this one but need footprints to follow. Well done, my friend!

Buen trabajo, nada que envidiarle a las costosísimas máquinas comerciales. Algunas consultas: 1) los motores de electro no se calientan al cabo de X minutos de uso continuado? 2) Los motores los regulas por separado o ambos corren a la misma velocidad siempre ? 3) que capacidad tiene la batería que usas ? Cuanto te dura cargada? 4) le has hecho algo a las ruedas para mejorar la fricción además de los cortes transversales? Gracias de antemano y saludos!
