Watch me make this LED Noodle lamp
I found these noodle lookin' LEDs and bought a bunch knowing I'd make something with them. This is the first project which I've named the 'Noodlefish' because it looks like a noodle and a jellyfish had babies.
I designed this light in the CAD program Autodesk Fusion and machined it on my DIY CNC (computer numerical control) router.
Video editing was done by me in Davinci Resolve. I'm pretty sure the editing took 5x longer than the entire design and build process of the lamp itself. Oof

Full Build Log of 6 Custom Designed Lighted Headphone Stands - Plus A Machine Crash
Просмотров 9632 месяца назад
This video shows just about every step it took to make 6 custom designed headphone stands from scratch. I designed these in the CAD program Autodesk Fusion and used a combination of traditional woodworking tools such as a tablesaw, bandsaw, chisels and modern technology like my DIY CNC (computer numerical control) router. This video was edited with Davinci Resolve, a free software which I've be...

I'm still working on editing all the video footage I took of the build process so please subscribe if that's your jam. heartmadewoodworking.com heartmadewoodw...
I Designed and Made 6 Headphone Stands With Exotic (and expensive) Woods
Просмотров 4882 месяца назад
I made a batch of 6 headphone stands using the nicest woods I have. 4 of the headphone stands have LED lights and 2 don't. This video shows how I made three of the headphone rests out of Burled Amboyna, the most expensive wood I've ever used. The small piece of Burled Amboyna in this video cost me $180 delivered and I got 3 headphone rests out of it. I had a thin, flat piece leftover which I'll...
Exotic Wood Headphone Stands With LED Lighting - Custom Design
Просмотров 484 месяца назад
I decided to make a batch of 6 headphone stands with some of the nicest woods I have. I'm teaching myself the editing software Davinci Resolve which has been an uphill battle to say the least. I definitely enjoy making things out of wood and aluminum over making videos. The full build video will be uploaded soon. These are for sale on my website, Etsy, Instagram....all the places. heartmadewood...

I finished up this weird desk light and decided to practice video editing in Davinci Resolve so I made this little clip. This desk light is for sale and can be found on my website, Etsy, Instagram and TikTok. Liking this video and/or Subscribing to my channel is hugely appreciated. I'm working on a full build video of this light which should be ready in the next week or so. heartmadewoodworking...

Nice bro 👌👍❤
What brand is that blue you use?
Firedots Sapphire Blue
Hermoso trabajo, pero a mis hijos les enseñé q con herramientas lo hace cualquiera, no es de hater. Me gusta trabajar artesanalmente. Abrazo desde Argentina
This is the prettiest thing that I have seen this year ❤. Amazing art-piece sir ❤.
How many people have all of this fancyCNC stuff? Show us how you would make this with basic tools please
Lovely lamp, lovely video!
Wow! Absolutely amazing
😳
Nice product, surprised they sell with so many twist tops around
I really like the blue that you used. What is it called?

I love your way to work !
Thank you!
Beautiful craftsmanship! Price should reflect your quality and supporters will gladly pay. I admire your creativity and expertise on the equipment. 👏 thank you for sharing. How long per unit including machining?
Thank you! It really depends on how many I'm making at a time and how much coffee I've had but I think I calculated it to around ~30 minutes total per opener when I made a batch of 40.
Oh man, I know how it goes breaking router bits on my CNC. These are really nice designs.
Thanks much! Machining is a pretty humbling thing, for me at least. I break bits from simple toolpath oversights all the time. It's all part of the process :)
What are your thoughts on Etsy's fees? I've heard from many sellers that most of their profits are eaten away by Etsy's fees.
When I look at the sale price vs. the amount I receive I die a little on the inside. There are some pretty shady practices by Etsy, like calculating their fee based on the sale price including the shipping amount.
I completely understand! I miss the old days of Etsy when the company wasn't trying to be another Amazon and was a great platform for crafts people.

Beautiful! Hysterical opening with the broken bit. Still laughing 😂
I didn't laugh at the time but I can laugh about it now. Thanks for watching! :)
what are the sanding thingies on your drill press?
I use several variations but you can find them by searching for "flap wheel" and "interleaf flap wheel". I generally prefer the "interleaf" variety.
@@heartmadewoodworking thanks!
Pretty stellar editing for such a small channel. I for one enjoyed the timelapses and concise nature of this video. Beautiful results on the finished product as well!
Thank you so much! I just started down the video editing rabbit hole about 3 months ago....it's a much bigger learning curve than I anticipated but I'm finally starting to get the hang of it :)
@@heartmadewoodworkingur doing a great job, at both editing and wood working, keep it up
Slow down your editing a bit, it’s jumpy and the time lapses are used to much. People will watch 1/2-2 hour long woodworking videos with good angles and no time lapses I like that there is no intrusive narrating and music. Beautiful work I’ll sub for sure!
I genuinely appreciate your feedback and struggled with those decisions for weeks during editing. I asked several friends and the answers were polar opposites. Some prefer longer duration with or without narration while others implored me not to make anything over 5 minutes because nobody would watch it. It's a tough call so I tried to find the best middle ground. I'll most likely have a mix of both moving forward.
What cool effects!! And such a beautiful piece, must have taken a looong time!
Thanks! They took way too long but editing this video took longer.
Great design!
Thank you, fellow luthier!
