@@BluntVille here’s the truth of it… it wasn’t blockbuster making a deal with them, developers didn’t actually like rental companies at all. Nintendo tried to sue them, because they only make money on sales and they were very nervous rental options meant people will try games and beat them more often without buying them. So some developers made their games harder to finish, in order to make the player feel like they better buy it to see the whole thing. Game companies didn’t make any money from rentals, that’s why they hated them.
