To anyone who loves the Doors you should read Wonderland Avenue by Danny Sugerman about when he worked for the Doors fanclub as a teenager. It's amazing.

Here's a thought i don't recall hearing before from a doors fan. Famed novelist Earnest Hemingway, who i can only imagine Jim admired, killed himself with a shotgun on July2,1961. Given what some would call Jims "obsession " with death, is it possible , being under pressure of his legal woes and exacerbated by his alcoholism , opted to commit suicide 10 years to the day of Hemingways death in Paris , a city he and the writer both loved.But Pam didn't find him in the bathtub until the next morning, July 3. Just a thought. I mean no offense to any doors fan as they've also been my favorite band since '67. I'm now 69 .
