    Lol, "thats it, its all it takes" ... yeah, with no cooling system hooked up, you better shut it down right away ... doing this enough times should be enough to wear out the cam ...

    • @75impalaca91
      @75impalaca91 2 месяца назад

      You have no clue what ur talking about, and I’m guessing you haven’t built engines before because saying you will wear out the cam from heat is retarded. Many other parts wear out from heat way faster then the cam, it would have seized up before the cam would be hurt. We run engines with no water for 20 mins all the time and have no issues. Just go watch a demolition derby there’s many guys with 500 hp sbc engines running for 20 to 30 min without any coolant.😂

    Isn't that plug you pull out the drain plug? The fill plug is on the back of the jack, it's a rubber stopper that you can pry out with a screwdriver. It wouldn't make sense to have the fill plug on the bottom of the reservoir. When you put pressure on the jack with the drain plug open, you're going to get oil out unless it's empty. I'm pretty sure you don't need to open the drain at all to purge the system, just open the release valve like you're letting the jack down, and with it open pump the handle about 20 times, then close the valve again. To top off the jack you pull the plug off the back and squirt some hydraulic jack oil into the hole with a syringe or something as the hole is small. It's full if oil runs out the hole a little. I don't think there's a need to remove that lower plug unless you're changing the oil in the jack.

    I'm gunna post the actual updated process here. When you remove th fill/drain plug there's a Phillips head screw behind the plug that's like a factory build plug. Apparently they started leaving them in so you have to take that screw/pin plug out first and not reinstall it before the bleed/ fill process.. the service tech on the phone was not aware of them being in there before and said he's been servicing them for years... so Ill be breaking the trail on this. I'll update after I get home and finish troubleshooting this damn thing.

    Terrible video... i pulled the plug and theres a stripped screw behind it.... tired of everthing being a con game and getting stuff and kits that are not complete. So i have to go back and buy oil for the brand new jack? Wtf is that... you didnt help at all with this crap.

    One thing I’d like to add. If you don’t start the cleaning with the carrier bolt cocked you’ll have a hell of a time getting the bolt back in. You’ll need to depress the striker bar and spring manually. In this video, when he take the carrier bolt out, only one bar and spring mechanism comes out. When I did it (starting the break down with the rifle uncocked) I had two. Other than that, excellent video. 10/10 👍

    I use my lathe and smooth out a spot on the top. Drill hole tap and install set screw. Gives 0 slack when on safety. Easy except that safety is very hard so drilling and tapping is a bit tough. Once adjusted a little loctite and your done.

    I dont know your exact chassis but the REO 0331A0 can be replaced with most inline 6 engines. The ford 350 straight will fit the frame perfectly. The spicer transmission that came with the REOs was put in the M35A2 and other army duces. The REO engine was even put in a few. Good transmission and easy and cheap to rebuild.
