When I looked at the number of likes it was stuck on 666! I couldn't leave at that. It's now 667. I first heard this song covered by Gordon Lightfoot on his first self titled album: Lightfoot. Gordon's version was shorter with slightly adjusted chord arrangements. Nonetheless an excellent cover by one of the world's best song writers.

I realized while listening to this song that my whole RUclips journey has come full circle. I remember when I was young, I somehow came across a John Birch Society video with Robert Welch. I just recently came across Phil's music, and most recently came across this song. To think as a young boy I was exposed to something like the John Bitch Society instead of someone like Phil Ochs. Thank the algorithm for that one, I suppose. lol Anyway, thanks for sharing. RIP Phil Ochs.
