First person look at skiing with REKKIE goggles.
This product would be a game changer for ski patrol, knowing where other patrolers are is a huge advantage to recovery times.
Is there a speaker in these? I’d like to have my Carv ski notifications play by my ear without using an earbud. I ski Beaver Creek all the time. Just skied keystone with the new meta raybans and wished they were in a goggle.
REKKIE's do not have a built-in speaker, but the goggles work really well with helmet speakers. Most new helmets have pockets in their ear flaps for small bluetooth speakers
This is genius. Bravo.
These would be awesome for snowmobiling too.
This could have a huge market for terrain park riders. If the mph is pretty accurate it could be a life saver of knowing your under / over speed for a jump. So many people have been injured realllllyyyy bad including myself where ive needed over 15 surgeries to "fix" me 😂. Best of luck in development, this definitely has a place!
Thank you! The speed readout on the dashboard is accurate up to the second and has definitely help me stop overshooting landings. Development is complete! We launched last year, and while we're always working to add features and update the software, we have tons of happy customers already

36,000 ft?
This is the "stats" screen, which shows his total vertical feet skied that day. At 1:22 the display is switched to the "dashboard", which shows the current altitude at around 8,000 ft
They look a bit rubbish. The HUD info is in the wrong position and acts as a distraction.
Not at all distracting in use. The display is actually out of the user's field of vision until they look up and focus on it. I've got 40+ days skiing with them. Not shown here is the ability to read a text (if desired) and control music.
This seems like a complete clone of the Recon Snow2 10 years later, while seeming a lot worse. Props anyway, maybe these will actually work after a few years.

These goggles are absolutely amazing. I've snow skid since the early 1960s. I've never seen this tech used for skiing before. Jan
Solves a problem nobody has. Not to mention any half decent smart watch already does this.
Would love to see you looking at a smart watch the whole time you're skiing or snowboarding down a mountain 😂
You guys need to partner with Carve and do an integration. Also, congrats on your go-to-market. I've been using smart goggles for a decade (Recon Snow2 through Oakley / Smith), but support ended when they sold the IP to Intel. I've been hoping someone would step in. I'll have to give your solution a try next season. Are you seeking additional funding right now?
