Chopin Etude op. 10 no. 4 in C# minor
From January 2022 during college applications.

Reflection: It's always interesting looking back at old videos, remembering how you approached things back then and things you would do differently now (or not). It's as if looking at a completely different person like you would a stranger, while simultaneously remembering how that person interacted with the music and the world at the time (a gap I find continues to grow the more time has passed between the "now" and the time of the recording/ performance). Thinking one part was great...

Aidan Wahlmann performs Mozart's Piano Concerto no. 20 first movement at the University of San Diego for the MTAC Concerto Competition, where he won first place in the senior division. Performed on February 1st, 2020 Performance was cut to stay within the 10 minute competition time limit.

Bravoo! An interesting choice of tempo to begin the piece. The way you interpret the main theme is rather flowing but with a sense of lingering at times when you do rubato (a good one i mean). Your sound is quite noble too! You never seem to explode when reaching some emotional peak but convey with intensity. Also such skill for the coda o_O! Your double thirds are very cleannn

The sound is a bit saturated which I believe it is just the microphone setup problem. Otherwise, furious and brilliant performance!
