This is exactly why, when I have to have an absence, I ensure to make the absolute most of it and take some more days off, at the expense of not having an absence another time if I can avoid it
You appear to have calculated wrong. 11 x 1 day absences would have a Bradford score of SxSxD = 11x11x11= 1331

This is silly. I have a neurological disorder and oftentimes wake up feeling unwell. I can take medication or visit the doctor to get an IV infusion to make me better and be back the next day. My employer is, of course, aware of this and makes accommodations, but if my company used this Bradford nonsense I would be out of a job.

@@haceneoumaouche8885 it’s up to each employer to decide the fairness of allocation and who to include. They should consult with staff and seek their agreement as to the fairness of this also. If an employee argued the process was unfair, a tribunal would examine the fairness themselves.

There is no such thing. 15 years of sick leave, and no you do not get holidays on sick leave. You are entitled to sick leave as result of the minimum required productivity. This is a load of Waffle

Not in the UK, because they are of equal merit its not unfair to chose one over the other based on outside factors such as under represented groups. If however one was less qualified but chosen because of representation reasons it WOULD be discrimination.

Do you have a full video on this? And does the same apply to building site visitors where the site asks you to sign in with fingerprint for health/safety/and monitoring who is onsite. Eg: IT engineer installing a broadband connection on a building site for the site office, can I refuse fingerprint scan and ask to use an alternative sign in method without biometric data?

@Employment_with_Amy thanks but I only use RUclips. Been looking this up lately as I am coming into contact with it more and more, as well as been asked to install facial recognition CCTV in places too which I have advised we don't do in line with the ICO

I have lifelong been a systems guy. Your really don't want full compliance, because you can be sure your systems don't actually work in all cases. You need the human on the end taking the process as advisory and getting the job done.

any job that requires I train on my own time isn't going to have me as an employee for long regardless. If it's important I complete the task quickly there had better be job time set aside for me to do it just like any other directly job related task. this isn't some mutually beneficial situation where I've got some boon to my resume. It's training that you need me to complete for compliance reasons. if it were some class that resulted in some certification that would be one thing, but "don't touch other people's bums" training had better be during normal shift hours.

Hi, what is this scenario fall under? Insubordination invented by Sr. Manager. Autistic employee not guilty said Sr. Manager but CEO instructed gave him 1st written warning coz they want him out due to cover up harassment and whistleblowing. Employee became ill, they tampered with Fitnotes knee pain changed to muscle joint strain. BTW, Outcome was predetermined on 1st written warning.
I thought this employee would need to go through the recruitment process again, the end surprised me :)
