Apparently this happens whenever you use Semi-Tweaked Layouts in 4:3? I genuinely have no idea what causes this, but it's pretty interesting on its own. Grand Metropolis is by far the most interesting stage in the new 9.28 beta build of Heroes. It's seemingly in some in-between state of being converted into the final from a later E3 version. Sonic's layout fits the final level, but Dark, Rose, and Chaotix all start to not fit after a while. This made me think, were they based off the E3 version? It's very different from the final. Yes, this is possible, sort of. Using the Sonic and Knuckles Collection's version of Sonic 3, you can trick the game into loading Knuckles using glitches or a save editor because the game is technically using Sonic and Knuckles as a base.
