This channel is a hobby of mine. I am making it, largely, for myself. It involves my interest in stories, myths, and tabletop rpgs
I will be adding content.
The Picaresue Adventures of Jumbuck the Black is my attempt at serialized storytelling. It is the story of a morally grey wizard's apprentice and his journey into the world after his master is defeated by a band of heros.
The Town of Dirtvale is an rpg setting in a town located in a cursed swamp. It will be updated as I go.
One-Planet Graves
“The universe is probably littered with the one-planet graves of cultures which made the sensible economic decision that there’s no good reason to go into space-each discovered, studied, and remembered by the ones who made the irrational decision.”

I actually like interdimentional cable, especially “Two Brothers”, lol
@@ryanmichaelhaley I guess there isn't an objectively best or worst episode. Every list is highly personal.
@ yeah, and for me personally, the worst episode is Numericons.
@@ryanmichaelhaley I think, for me, the very worst episode is The Vat of Acid Episode. The best would have to be The Wedding Squanchers.
@@AbstractStew I actually like Vat of Acid, despite how stupid it is, lol. Not sure what my favorite would be, other than all of Season 1.
@@ryanmichaelhaley For me, it isn't the stupidity of the Vat of Acid Episode that I hate. Pickle Rick is probably one of the dumbest episodes out there and I love it. The problem for me is the absolutely mean spirited way Rick goes about punishing Morty for calling out his dumb idea. The vat of fake acid was a stupid idea and it failed. Morty should get to make Rick feel like a loser for his complete failure, but he isn't allowed to do that. Sometimes, Rick should fail.
You're going to need a whole lot more than Voldemort to even put a scratch on Dresden. In fact, I have a feeling that Dresden could probably solo the entire Potter verse, and not break a sweat.

Oil can get hotter without evaporating and unlike water we can taste the fat as well. Not sure the validity of this last point, but I also heard that fat tenderizes the meat in comparison to boiling without over cooking.
@@oli-ver2760 Thank you. I was starting to think that frying is just what we call boiling in oil. This helps.
Maybe you should go back to reading books with pictures instead.
@@dandyhighway-man8701 That's a little condescending , don't you think? Are you unwilling to consider that, just maybe, people don't like her writing and it's no deeper than that? I haven't read any of the other books by this particular "author" and I have no desire to. Boring plot, uninteresting characters ( even villains,.like Dagny Taggart are unbearably dull). She's just not a good writer and it shows.
@@AbstractStew That's a matter of taste of course. It's not a good Decision to start with Atlas Shrugged if you want to get into the philosophy of Objectivism. The best starting point is either Anthem or We the living. I recommend you reading these in the near future. I was Condescending, no doubt about that, and I'm sorry for that. But you're also Condescending about Ayn Rand, by Representing her book as a Trash fire, calling it the "Worst Garbage book ever written" and also saying mean stuff about her. Ayn rand is definitely worthy of criticism, I don't agree with everything she said. If this book wasn't for you, that's a shame and I shure hope you give her a second chance by reading some of her other books. But please don't be a dick.
@dandyhighway-man8701 You're right. I was being a dick. Inhave to watch that. Apologies.
@@AbstractStew No problem.
To clarify, I was picturing the inner door as being magically hidden until the key is near. Why was the outer door open? Someone either picked the lock or broke it down? Why didn't they do that to the inner door? They couldn't find it, because they weren't special. Fantasy doesn't have to make sense. Who cares about all the princes who die in the thorns? The only one who matters is the one destined to make it through. PCs are sp3ciap in the same way.
i don't know if your special needs but I don't think the answer to 'why isn't the dungeon looted' is 'because they couldn't open the door' isn't that circular logic that leads you back to the premise of why wasn't that dungeon looted? oh because i t requires a key? why didnt the other doors require a key?
Wow, this one is doing so well that I definitely have to try making the float now. I will post.the results.

I'm the only sane one here! They're pulling me into the narrative, time to hide in the air ducts! This season is amazing!
So, I just reread the effect. Direct damage doesn't trigger the no life gain effect? Thus combo does not work. Sadness.
The solution is even simpler, just make a custom background. All the components of a background are listed under Character Origins -> Origin Components -> Parts of a Background. You could just take everything that Sage gets, and swap the ability scores-and even still call it Sage, or Swole Sage. There's also a note in Chapter 2 about "Backgrounds and Species From Older Books." It says that if you use a Background from an older book (like Sage 2014) you just choose what Ability Scores are improved, and you choose your Origin Feat.
Sage barbarian goes hard. Imagine being highly educated while still having black Air Force activity.
I had this idea for a barbarian who wad joining an adventuring party. Traveled to the town they were meeting in to wait at the library. The others never showed up. Too ashamed to go home, he stayed at the library. They gave him a job, mostly moving things, at first. Decades go by and he learns to read. Eventually, he has been there longer than anyone else.
At one point, when listing feats, it sounds like I said stealth, when whatnI meant was Chef. I was tired, said the wrong thing, and didn't catch it until later. Sorry
The movie Elf?
Never saw that one. Is it any good?
A supernatural being could be haunting the group. It could prey on the sleeping adventurer by taking the form of the party member’s fears. If they don’t survive the nightmare, they gain exhaustion. If other party members are thought of during the dream, they become a part of the scenario, but if it fails, they too gain exhaustion
@@scottmundis6341 That's kind of the idea. A group of supernatural beings are haunting the world. A supernatural pact was violated by the Forces of Hell to allow these Entities in. In a mini-campaign in the same world, the PCs have already encountered " The Flesh The Slaughter The Web The End The main campaign will introduce the others.
@@AbstractStew I like the unique titles for the different beings. The various beings could have varying effects such as halved heath, movement, or AC. Levels of exhaustion could be piled on due to the feeling of lack of sleep, but still offer the benefits of a long rest for casters as not to fully cripple the party (or do). Adding these afflictions and then chasing the party with lower level beasts might be an interesting way to frustrate the players into wanted to be rid of these spirits
@@scottmundis6341 Thanks. I think I forgot to mention that I stole the Entity names from The Magnus Archives.

You can turn the audio for everything off except for hostile mobs and players (Java)
Turn the music off and then turn the sound down a little so it’s not too annoying
Actually that would cause a disruption as well. Those that were supposed to win may not causing whatever they would have done after winning won't happen. Too many unforeseen ripple effects to be accounted for. Way too much of a temporal headache.

Salazar Slytherin did not want people born of muggles in his school. This was most likely not because of their "poor" blood status but because these people could lead muggles to the school, you know the people whom have under hundreds of years actively hunted them for sport. Yeah I wonder why he was cautious... And all evil people go to Slytherin? Really? Andromeda Tonks? Albus Potter? Scorpius Malfoy? Astoria Malfoy? Horace Slughorn? Freaking Merlin? And probably so many many more we don't even know about. It's not like Voldemorts army was only made up of Slytherins either. Should we remove Gryffindors because of Pettigrew? Or Ravenclaw because of Quirrell? Maybe Hufflepuff because of Cedric? Since CC showed that he would have joined Voldemort if he survived. There were most likely so so many more of the other houses who joined Voldemort that we don't hear about since blood supremacy is something that is shown to be in all the houses. Every house has produced great wizards and awful wizards, one of the most evil Wizards in history Eunon Blackwood was a Hufflepuff for crying out laud, look him up if you want. Or if you want more popular examples Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore shared a lot of traits so he would most likely have been in Gryffindor too. Not to talk of the old man himself. We for the most part in the series (if we don't count CC) only get to see Slytherin house from Harry's perspective, and his biased views of the House, throughout a period of history where the current dark lord was from that house. Hogwarts has thousands of years of history we don't get to see. And insulting to get sorted into Slytherin? Ambition and Cunning are great traits for anyone to possess. It's videos like this that make children who take the Hogwarts quiz feel bad just because they have the gall to have some ambition and wanting to do something with themselves.
@@nihalad_3854 By the way, is CC Cursed Child? I never did read that, because I refuse to read the script for a play. Was it any good?
@@AbstractStew I would say it was pretty good. It was of course not as detailed as the other books (since it was a play as you said). But when it came to the story it was very solid.
I’m with this guy
I think the problem here is that JKR didnt really evenly distribute the good/evil among the houses in a way a good writer would have. Heck she barely put anyone in Hufflepuff.
I remember reading your reply here and thinking that the points you made were logical and fair. I also realized that I didn't want to make anyone feel bad for taking a quiz that put them into Slytherin (which is where I have always placed in every Hogwarts Gouse quiz). I wrote a reply that said these things. I do not see it here. I don't know where it went. I just felt the need to say that you are right.
So if he limits himself, to what degree ?
@@Max_bond69 I guess as much as he needs to in order to be unable to lift the rhing he doesn't want to be able to lift? My point was that the only limits to the abilities of an omnipotent being would have to be, by definition, self imposed.
@@AbstractStewso how high could he set the bar for the rocks weight
@@Max_bond69 I'm not sure what you're going for here. If we're talking about an omnipotent being setting self imposed limits, does the rock's weight actually matter? A being with potentially unlimited strength could set the limit anywhere. Anything from half an M&M's worth of weight to the weight of one hundred multiverses. I don't think the number is all that important.
@@AbstractStew it is important if you ask a infinitely strong man to lift a infinitely heavy rock it leads to a paradox, And disproves his omnipotence. If god wanted to make the heaviest rock how heavy would it be?
@@Max_bond69 Okay, so it is important to note that I am not a Godologist. Anyrhing.i say is not definitive. Are you saying that there is a limit to the mass of an object that can exist? That, therefore, the creating-a-rock aspect of omnipotence hits a hard limit before the lifting strength aspect? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.
