Eric sin sinner not always, it takes several attempts to turn rtf function, sometimes it turns automatically when the plane is far away from me and i can not turn it off immediately. it also takes several attempts. Once i lost my Hubsan when it was in rtf mode. Thanks to the mobile number i left on the plane one good guy gave me a call the next day and told that he found it and was ready to give it back 🙂
great flight. last week I had the rudder servo strip itself and stayed hard right which resulted in a downward spiral and the rest is history. I love this plane
yes mercalli is a software. When you upload a shaky video on youtube, youtube suggets you to stabilize it. You click ok and watch the stabilized result :)
I just ordered the Hubsan yesterday. My only complaint is the lack of a home point indicator on the telemetry. I was going to build a Bixler, but for $292, I thought this would be worth a try. I need a break from all my quads. ;) Also, with our new FAA regulations in the States, I cannot fly over crowds of people like this. The hobby will be forced to use designated flying fields. That's one reason I joined an RC club with a very large field in a rural area...
All the time stabilization was on. Fast climb because of throttle 100%. Landing also with stabilization on and throttle 10-15%. 5 seconds before landing throttle 0%.
wow sure smooths out the video, nice landing :) they must of used stabilisation that on the maldives H301s video. have you considered getting some goggles to be up there in the cockpit ? I just ordered the fatshark dominator hd v2's Im still waiting for my new propellor cant wait for my 2nd flight !
the controller's screen is unexpectedly very good! Even in very sunny day the image is clear! For me it is better not to use googles, because i fly where there are a lot of people and i want to have chance to switch quickly from the screen to visual control.
Great video ! Did the plane stall if u put the throttle at 0 ? I saw in the manual that you have to put the throttle at one quarter to landing, so is it possible to glide a bit without any throttle when you are high ? Thank you !
I can't say exactly what happened to my plane that day . I could not land it! I pushed throttle down and elevator up, but the plane did not want to land!! I turned on manual mode and only after that it landed!
I crashed my H301S on its maiden, broke propellor, dinted wing and been waiting 1 month for parts. lesson learnt do not fly in gale force weather. Did you use stabilisation software for this video ??very smooth flying very easy on the eyes :) good jobwas there any wind that day ?? Did you fly using the TX screen or looking at it ? get the landing next time i tend to skip some vids right to the end i love watching landings.looking forward to your next vid
Thank you for your comment! It was quite cold for flights, minus 13 degrees celcium, 3-4 m/s wind, little snowflakes in the air. While starting and landing I controlled it visually, when it flew far from me I used the screen on the controller. the whole flight stabilization mode was on (I think stabilization can create these quick movements fighting with wind, next time I will try to fly in manual mode). I've video of landing also, but it was very awkward :) it seems to me that I turned on "return home gps" mode because I turned off the engine and tried to pull the plane down to earth, but it was impossible, the plane did't get lower! I switched into manual mode and finally got the plane down. It hit smoothly into the snow.
Do more flights and you should show the landing also. It would also be cool to see you switch to manual and do some loops, upside-down flying, and rolls!
The landing was not so good. It just hit into the snow. I have little experience and still am afraid of going into manual mode but I will defenetly try to do so!

RUclips stabilization sucks. You can see the mercalli symbol move all over the screen.

Nice Video I also fly the Hubsan H301S I see that the plane climbs fast.. Did you turn OFF the "Stabilization Mode"? .

What flight time are you getting, and what voltage do you bring the plane down at? I am thinking 7 volts is a good number to end your flight.
I bring mine down on 6.5v
