You are probably correct. Early commentators are worth looking at as well. Sadly, the wave machine is not currently functioning.
The "plough" is in the central pier; the wide of "plough" is similar the wide of central pier. This mechanism regenerates the electric energy or not? The electric motors which moves the paddles which makes waves it also works as a generator.
I think that I see the "plough" near east tower at minute 4:21.
Probably the hydrofoil (plow???) can be seen here: i2-prod.dailypost.co.uk/incoming/article9418380.ece/ALTERNATES/s1227b/The-view-from-the-east-bay-end-of-the-lagoon.jpg
Now that was a real shame. We had great fun with it until my youger daughter's boy friend sat on it. Grr!
I could never get mine to fly 😅
I always think these are a higher tone version of Westminster abbey bells.
I saw the Duchess run through there on a steam DVD. It’s like an alternate reality, if Normans or Romans had invented steam!
Great, going well through Dolgarrog Halt.
II was actually quite scary. I didn't expect such a turn of speed!
@@filmmakingmadYou would expect them to be slow on single branch lines but they don't hang about just like the main lines. Single lines are more closed in so that increases effect too. I traveled up there behind the Stanier 8f and Leander about 3-4 years ago and it was brilliant. The two engines did not hang about either.
After all this effort, looks like they are going into receivership ( 2021)
Ich war Passagier! Perfekt!h
Fantastic. Proper music for all generations 🎺🎺
Absolutely true.
As an old bell-ringer, surely this has to be the sweetest ring of bells in England. We heard them one morning, whilst walking around the exterior of the cathedral: a real privilege.
I agree. I used to be a bell ringer in my teens decades ago.
@@filmmakingmad Me too! I'm 68; but in my teens I was 'Tower Captain' of St Laurence-in-Thanet, Ramsgate, Kent. I then used to ring at Brancepeth, and the Cathedral, with the Durham University Society of Change Ringers.
Today I received an interesting message that the gentlemen seen opening the level crossing gates was the late Richard Harris, RIP.

Good video. She sounds nice. Like the GWR whistles
Kind of bad noise The whistle sounds better in real life
Thank you for your comment. The microphone used was Sony and maybe I hadn't set the limiters on the camera. Personally, for commercial work, I prefer to have a sound recordist with a boom mic and mixer tethered to the camera to monitor the sound closely. That was not possible on that day. Incidentally, any auto settings in these circumstances would be very likely to be problematical especial with the cacophony of ambient sounds on this occasion. I hope this helps.
They should reinstate regular passenger services on the whole Ruabon to Barmouth route. This could coexist with preservation without any problems. Also reinstate passenger services on the cross-Wales line through Mold and Denbigh, to Merthyr and thence to Cardiff. And Cymru am byth!
As it SHOULD be!
Well it was heaving. I spoke to a gentleman in a wheelchair who remembered the closing of the line years ago.
That the most crowded I've ever seen Porthmadog
Am doing it this weekend am only 16 ahahah
Crampons, ice axe, snowshoes and cross country skis are all required for this year's race! Seriously, I have not heard from Craig what the situation is at the moment, despite the 'hysteria from Siberiia' it doesn't look ideal to say the least.!
filmmakingmad i checked the weather it's snowing and 1degrees do you reckon it will be cancelled
filmmakingmad also I don't have crapons or any winter hiking kit
Hi this is the information I have received check the WFRA facebook page.on Saturday morning. More snow probably tonight. Hope this helps.
Btw . Way to go

Thank you for a most interesting comment. I knew people who lived in Blaenau Ffestiniog who used the train. Apparently , not only people travelled the line but also hens and other small livestock! the other line from the junction went to Rhuthin. The dam, less said about that the better.
Good to see! A school friend and I were walking in North Wales in 1955, and stayed at Bonym, near Corwen, where there was a halt... i was a mile or two East of Corwen. Corwen station was a junction, and it was possible to go up past Trawsfynnydd, and they were building a dam somewhere near there!
I live near here near hunstaton
So you hear the bells clearly, a real treat.
filmmakingmad no near the wash area I hear them when I'm there

Really interesting. Thanks.
Thank you for your comments. The story of those who were regarded as the Celtic saints coming from the south by sea with traders is absolutely fascinating. Remember too the legend of Joseph of Aramathea as a metal trader and the connections to the lead of the Mendip hills and the the Cornish mines.
it's a great camera to have I own a HDR-CX900 camcorder.
I totally agree. I was using it all last week for a travel doc. It is a joy to use for this type of production. Best wishes.
nice video & Edit
I'm sorry to have responded earlier to you kind comments, I've just noticed, I'm afraid.
nice to be that fit
Yes, those were the days!

I used to ring when I was a teenage. Great fun wonderful people.
Thank you for uploading a fantastic video. My grandad - John Furlong - was born at Roman Bridge railway station in 1901. His father (my great grandfather) - John Furlong Snr - was the Roman Bridge station master in the early 1900s, then became station master at Bodorgan on Anglesey.
I'm really pleased you enjoyed the video. Thank you for your fascinating family connection. It is a lovely place.

Hello again. I was ready to buy this camera but I have read some bad comments about its Autofocus stability. What is your opinion ? Also are you satisfied from low light performance (noise) becouse I m going to use it a lot at indoor and low light conditions.. thank you
Hello. I have no issues with the auto focus. The low light capabilities are quite satisfactory when shooting in 1080p but you have to be aware that the lens is not a constant aperture type. When you zoom in the aperture closes and then you can be in real trouble with noise. As I have not upgraded to 4k with this camera so no comment be made about its performance at these resolutions. I hope this helps, Regards.
I wish we had the line all the way to Pen y bont Junction and Bala that would be a great run. But a big THANK YOU and well done to everyone for your efforts clawing back what Beeching destroyed so the next generation can enjoy the sense of a real railway.
If you want to then sign my petition for government granted money and permission to extend to bala www.change.org/p/welsh-government-grant-llangollen-railway-permission-to-extend-the-heritage-line-to-bala-and-ruabon?recruiter=827470201&

It certainly takes some beating. Just sitting and waiting for the train was a pleasure.
Nice video, any new updates on this line??
Thank you for your kind comments. The small group has made good progress as shown on the Dolgarrog Railway website.
+filmmakingmad Sounds good, ile check ur website out now👍
I was wondering how many screw holes are on the down part of this camcorder in order to check if it can fit in a gimbal like beholder ds 1... there is a video in youtube where someone says that it has put an AX-100 (the same as pxw x70) on a beholder DS 1 ? Is it possible ? if yes it whould be very interesting.. the video address is here : ruclips.net/video/qnGAP5OQO7E/видео.html
Hi George. There is just one screw hole one the base of the camcorder to fix to tripod etc. Hope this is helpful.
thank you for your response. May i ask if you know if pxw x70 can fit in a gimbal like Beholder DS1 ?
I understand that the Beholder DS1 is designed for DSLRs and mirrorless cameras such as the Panasonic GH4.
AAARGH! I just want to see the thing that makes the waves and what moves it. I don't want to watch hours of excavators running.
now theres proper
That is big
+David Howarth Yes it certainly is. In about three weeks, it will make the return trip. It was a smooth very well planned and executed operation.
Hi. Is this filmed with Sony PXW-X70? Thanks.
+Valentin Ardeleanu Hello, thank you for your question. Actually, I used a Lumix GH4 in both video and still mode. I do prefer to use the X70 for video as it's form factor is so much easier to use. I have been using the X70 today. Regards
+filmmakingmad Thank you very much for your quick reply. After all this time how do you find X70? Do you think this cam will stand for Christening events or weddings? Is the image quality satisfy the taste as great?
+Valentin Ardeleanu Hello again. My answer to your question is a definite yes. If you are using it handheld the optical stabilisation is good. I really like this small camera as it is very convenient to use. However, there are two points to bear in mind. The lens is very good but it is not a constant aperture throughout the zoom range. You can be caught out with noise in low light situations if you zoom in too far! Some users have reported audio noise issues when using an external shotgun mic. I've not had any troubles with a Sony or a mic from a JVC GY-HD100. Hope this is helpful.
+filmmakingmad Thank you very much for your prompt response and advise. Have a nice day.
