    Why are you pussyfooting around? Try using more energy around the horse even before you start messing with his feet.

    Nah I woulda done about the same… I mighta wiggled the ripe a little when he stopped just to build a little more confidence but all in all I thought it was good. As soon as I can see improvements you seen it at the same time. Keep it up, I would like to see what he looks like when you finish him.

    There are several important points to lungeing...It's the first training opportunity to teach a horse to start on cue. To turn on cue and to stop on cue. It's the time when they are taught to walk, trot and lope on a loose line. It's a way to introduce the horse to new tack and be used to being handled from a distance and its the first step that need to understand before you start driving them with the long lines.

    Yes absolutely correct. Taming and gentling him will get you a willing partner rather than a slave. Buck Brannaman, Monty Roberts and those kinds of horsemen's methods are the best ways to go. Excellent decision for this youngster.

    The horse is lazy? Who is walking and who is riding?

    • @DBD_Rabe
      @DBD_Rabe 2 месяца назад

      This is nothing for a horse. Walking is not as exhausting for horses as it may be for you. Riding is a sport that trains your whole body, from leg muscles to arms and abdomen, but also stamina and posture, so it's incredibly exhausting to do so. Both of them are engaging in physical activity but the horse has a lot more endurance. Calling the animal lazy isn't wrong if that's how his personality is, being lazy is natural since prey animals have to reserve energy but depending on how old/healthy a horse is, which breed it is and how experienced/athletic the rider is, riding can be WAY more exhausting as the person on top than for the animal.

      You really think this is easy for the rider Dude we basically need to hold these horses together with our legs and seat in order for them to go that nicely and be balanced Maybe educate yourself before you say something that sounds stupid
