You know Priscilla Presley & her Business Partner single handedly brought in the Boho style in the 1970s by making custom clothes from vintage linens. Priscilla Presley at her boutique “Bis & Beau”. The 1st location was located on Robertson Blvd. Then it moved to 9650 Little Santa Monica Blvd in 1974. Pricilla owned this shop with good friend Olivia Bis. It totally reminds me of a west coast American BIBA or MARY QUANT which were very popular in London. Stevie Nicks shopped there along with all those famous women 70's rock singers ❤
I own the exact same sewing machine & it’s the best I ever had. Looking forward to more sewing projects as my son spread his wings & fly the nest eventually. 😅💪🙏

Just a hint...sewingcin the same direction with each strip foes trnd to bend sideways but if you sew from alternate opposite ends it does stay straight. Good luck.
Yeah!!!!! Good job....great idea!!!!!
Congratulations on your new sewing machine Danna! Seriously, there is no shame in choosing this machine over an industrial machine, whatsoever! I had my first sewing machine for... let's just say MANY YEARS (since my youth lol) and I replaced it 3 years ago. The options I narrowed it down to was the Singer Heavy Duty (like yours) and the Brother Strong & Tough H537ST. I chose the Brother because it had more options that appealed to me, such as more stitch options and decorative stitches that weren't typically not available on standard mechanical machines. For THICK fabrics like denim, multiple layers, leather, quilts, and TOWELS- either the Singer Heavy Duty or the Brother Strong & Tough are both EXCELLENT and reliable options! I also stand by my opinion that mechanical sewing machines are more reliable long-term than electronic/computerized machines. There are no computer components to fail, and mechanical machines don't typically break nearly as oftwn. Unless a person's hobby or work requires intricate embroidery and such, a mechanical machine is definitely more than sufficient and offers more peace of mind! LOL- I was laughing when you demonstrated the titled presser foot being leveled folded fabric... because all these years I've used a folded piece of cardboard from a cereal box or whatever! 😆 I agree with you regarding needle sizes... literally within the past two years, I JUST discovered the Singer size 110/18 needles (which also work in Brother machines) and my mind was BLOWN, no joke. They are PERFECT for denim and THICK fabrics and/or layers. I REGRETTED having never known about those previously! Thanks for sharing your new machine Danna, and HAPPY SEWING! 😁🧵🪡
