Case-Hardening with ParkWest Arms
Это что за напильник такой? Первый раз вижу.
Spalted maple?
When that's stained its gonna look so good. The grain is awesome. Great work
Thank you!
"Only accurate rifles are interesting"-Townsend Whelen. 😢
Someday !
I see a rasp and already know this is artistry. Haven’t checked out the channel but heading that way
I'm sure youll smooth them, but as a 30 year woodworker, those big scratches across the grain trigger my ocd lol.
My word, that looks like a number 49 cabinet rasp. You do appear to know how to use it.
I come from a family of German wood worker. My father was a cabinet maker. I pursued gunsmithing, and stock making. And have been doing it for fifty years. Can't say I got rich doing it. Most of the time my forty hour a week job got in the way . Still I like butchering wood. There are a lot of tools that can reduce an otherwise beautiful piece of wood to kindling, l probably do a lot of extra work in removing wood, but I like and use my number forty nine rasp the most. I can work out a lot of aggression and not ruin the stock.. In this day of power tools, which will only get you in trouble faster , it was a treat to come upon a video like yours. Keep the good work going
Still saving for model 10. You guys build some beautiful rifles. Thanks
Thank you!
Made by hand. Old school at it's best. 😊
Gunna be another beaut
🙌
Sehr schönes Jagdgewehr. So muss das aussehen. Jetzt noch in einem normalem Kaliber, .257Roberts (AI) oder 6,5x55...😍
I always enjoy seeing someone show there skill. Great work. Is that tool for the barrel slot homemade or can be purchased at a specialty shop?
I can't stop watching I found my new favorite movie
Dam good job I would love to have you make me a gun stock
I could watch you do this all day you are an artist man dam good work
Is it a controled round feed action
Yes
How do I strip the bolt to clean the firing pin and spring ?
For the money all these rifles should be able to shoot sub MOA"s Nice but over priced
I would like it as part of my art collection.
Sorry. Those are some ugly rifles. And look uncomfortable to shoot.
One ugly looking, uncomfortable to shoot rifle. It may as well be straight as a broom stick.
Stunning firearms!
Just like it grew there.
Beautiful work !
Well, it would be nice if you started making or having them make the Dakota Cartridge Cases. I ran out of 330 Dakota. I bought 200 when Norma was running the company in 1993. The cases lasted a long time.
Beautiful
Good job.
Was that black stuff just gunk or were you marking high spots?
Those look like the experienced hands and tools of a real tradesman.
Many, many years of experience right there! 👍
I like it. A simple no frills rifle with an understated beauty to it. Mine would be in 257 roberts
Should make 500 J and 505s
Would absolutely love to have a model 10 built ! These are such beautiful rifles hand made.
Send us an email when you're ready! info@parkwestarms.com
There's a reason he looks so happy, have you seen """"HOW" "much these rifles cost""?????????? I like to have fell in the floor. Way out of my league. Like outer space out of my league. I think I'll stick to my Ruger M-77 rifle, that's about as custom as I can afford. I could buy 12 to 15 rifles at $1000.00 a pop for what they want for just one of theirs. Crazy.
Maguinifico ❤
Thank you!
What is the length of pull?
Just a little more info would've made this vid relevant. Bone, charcoal, salts, etc.
Question about these single-shot bolt action rifles that are intended to be shot from a bench - is it unusual for right-handed shooters to get a left-handed bolt? Seems like it might make sense.
Dude, I have been to Sturgis. I just subscribed.
# 999 x 999 🎉
What is the length of pull on that rifle?
Looks good 👍🏻🇺🇸
Why not build it to customers specifications, including the caliber?
Franklin here is the link for the SD-97 click on the build your rifle tab and you can configure the way you would like: ) parkwestarms.com/product/sd-97/
@@parkwestarms3690 thanks
Keep doing what you do best. And you make them beautiful. I love that.
True heirloom quality.
Now, that's a beautiful rifle! If Alaskan Brown Bears ever get to the lower 48, I'll keep this in mind.
Nice
Hello there, do you have an Australian agent?
Not a fan of synthetics stocks, but the "woodland camo" looks good.
🇺🇸👍🏻
