@@luigifontana4164 His inability as a tactician has definitely cost England in big games, acting as the cheerleader & creating a welcoming environment is important for the team dynamic but it can only go so far. Against the big teams you’re spot on, he’s unable to make in game changes that a world class manager would do to change the outcome & momentum of a game.

Slovakia blocked the central areas by playing a compact 442, England were too slow at playing passes in between the lines & also too cautious in fear of losing possession. They couldn’t play around the press because Trippier would always cut back onto his right foot instead of stretching the pitch or running in behind towards the space. Saka would genuinely help the teams balance instead of Trippier at LB because of being left footed, Shaw’s fitness is imperative. Foden at LW simply isn’t working so Gordon needs a game to help the balance & provide an off the ball runner for Kane.

I get they were pressing high with 6 (4-2) as they had done in all their other games, so England must have prepared all well for it but we struggled to get over the half way line most of the time. And yeah, we need more balance on the left which doesn't help but I was wondering what are your thoughts on the most effective ways to beat it rather - just playing quicker and more positively sounds a bit vague. I guess having patterns of play and rotations would help, but it's England, so surely they worked on those. Did you spot any? I thought Saka did well left back so I'd play him there, high and wide like Trippier and build with a back 3, with Rice dropping back with Stones and keep Walker. I'd play Trent RB and invert him again with Mainoo CMs, with Foden playing right and Bellingham left AMCs, with Palmer right wing.

@@SuperFootballDrills If a team is struggling to progress the play between the lines they need to look at Plan B, which would be to win ball possession higher up the pitch in areas where the opposition are unable to retreat into a compact shape. The only noticeable pattern of play I was identify in the entire match from England was the trippier chance, with Saka hugging the byline, Kane dropping deep to receive the ball & play it out wide to Trippier running in behind, has only taken 4 games😭don’t think Southgate is bold enough to change formation mid tournament

The big issue for United is the lack of managers available in the market currently, I’d say Tuchel & Pochettino are the only obvious options currently available. Can you think of any others?
