I got one of these but out of the box it had a stripped bridge stud. Customer service is absolute garbage! I ended up buying a upgraded stud and adjustment wheels for $10 on amazon. Otherwise it is a pretty cool and well built guitar. After doing some research, I found out that Buckethead actually uses 10-46 strings on his instead of baritone strings, so Ill be swapping those out too.
Glad you got it rolling! Sometimes it happens. Their customer service has always been great with me. Usually they answer back in 1-2 business days and have always taken care of me. I had a used one before that someone had refretted with jumbo frets, and they had put regular 10-46 strings on it. It played great I thought with those on it. So I'm sure you'd like it with that gauge on it
Looks cool, but a bummer that it's pretty unlikely FireFly/Guitarsgarden will sell these again. They seem to always just move on to something else.
I'd just keep an eye out on their site. They probably will do more of these. They were great sellers for them. The just launch a Buckethead V, and it sold out in the first day or so

I sent one back as bullseye pattern and horn seemed off compared to earlier Firefly LP style versions. A good guitar, but didn’t like reversal on paint job
They've got two versions, the one they call "yellow/tan circles" is the one that's closest to the ZW pattern. Or at least that's the way it looks to me
Also Happy Birthday!…..Yep…prob would’ve kept that version if I got it. I’ve been going down the EVH tributes rabbit hole as they play hide n seek with these online. Some say it is in/out stock, but I’ve never seen them do this with any other line so frequently. 👀
@@CG-gf7ce thanks for the birthday wishes! Check their site right now. I seen them on there today on sale!
I agree on the frets on all EPIs. That's why I would never buy a high-end Epiphone, they all require some work any way, frets included and the price doesn't reflect that.
I'm the same way. Only way I'll buy them is if they're used. Cant justify the full price tag when I know what I'm getting into
@@DeweyJHall1 100%! Or you must really love the finish lol. They had some cool limited finishes
@@P1nkman That's it! The best Fretwork I've seen on an Epi was the Lee Malia Signatures. They were all level. Even then tho, you had to polish the file marks out of them
@@DeweyJHall1 I've never seen those before, look pretty intriguing! Surprisingly it looks like these were made in China as well. I bought my last Epi 2 years ago (50s standard), once you fix the standard issues and set it up it's a very fine guitar. But it was $650 brand new, so that's fair. Although you still can get better for that money.
@@P1nkman Yeah, with proper set up and work, they can be made to play great. Check out Schecter if you want a good guitar. Any of their Korean made stuff is excellent. Check the used market for a better deal
Oh, that's a nice one. There's not enough affordable, good baritone guitars on the current market. I don't even do any kind of extreme downtuning - D standard is the lowest I'll go - but I still think baritones are the way to go for this because to my ears downtuning very very quickly starts to rob guitars of clarity and tone, and a longer scale helps quite a bit in counteracting that. I have a Yamaha RGX420S-D6 "Drop 6" from the early 2000s - very nice guitar and not that easy to come by nowadays. It has only a slightly lengthened scale of 26.25", so it very much still feels like a normal guitar, but the clarity difference is night and day compared to standard Fender length.
@@honigdachs. yep. It's hard to keep clarity when you start dropping the tuning. Lower you go, the more you lose
Nice, I’ve got one myself. Such a nice guitar. I have the single pickup “LP” baritone on the way. Hopefully that one feels nice.
Sweet! I thought about getting one of those as well. If I played a baritone alot, I would. Others have said it was a good one!
Unfortunately, my Chinese KH202 came with a defective nut. The hack job at the factory didn’t shave enough material off the nut shelf so it would seat at a reasonable level above the first fret. I had the bridge cranked all the way down, but the action was still a mile high off the fretboard even after the 12th fret. My strings were literally kissing the pickups and the action was still high. Not to mention, the fact the nut was a mile high meant none of my notes close to the nut would stay in tune… why? Because the string was so far off the fret board that it was also increasing tension at the same time as decreasing in length (the fret) when I would fret a note. Sent it to music and arts (subsidiary of guitar center) in my town to fix the nut and replace the entire bridge system with the original Floyd rose which shares 100 percent of the same dimensions as the special that came on it, so no routing needed, just drop in. I asked them to replace everything: bridge, posts, post inserts, and the nut to the steel parts that came with my original Floyd rose bridge. Not to mention the special that comes on it can’t hold zero worth a damn, and those knife edges don’t hold without marring from even a set of 9 gauge strings. It also didn’t come with a string retainer like Floyd equipped guitars are supposed to, and the strings wouldn’t sit flush against thee nut. So every time I locked down, it would make every string go sharp screwing up the entire setup. The KH 602 I got had everything installed right so I learned from that what went wrong with the 602. I also asked music and arts to order and install the string retainer on the KH 202. I believe she’ll play like a dream: all parts and labor came out to 195 dollars pre tax. I can’t wait to get it back. Ironically everything wrong with this guitar forced me to learn everything about setup, stringing up a Floyd rose, intonating, and setting neck relief… none of it worked on the guitar of course because of the Nut level, however I’m proud that guitar taught me so much, I wouldn’t sell it despite everything that was wrong with it. In its pre repair state it wouldn’t even be worth selling for parts and it wouldn’t sit well with me ethically speaking. So I’m keeping Her. Besides it’s a signature guitar… by fixing the problems that came from the factory (too much material on the nut shelf)… it ironically makes this a custom guitar since I’m getting the nut job finished that the factory failed to do properly😂. A custom AND signature guitar… so meta. Shame they couldn’t get it right from the factory but hey… it was on sale and those employees were apparently not taking care of it… so it needed a better home with me what can I say? I’ll report back when I get the guitar back and discuss how I feel about the repair to the specs I was supposed to get from the factory.
@@jaxfernandez3684 I bet it will play so much better when you get it back! If that actions to high at the nut, nothing you can do to the guitar will help it, until that's addressed. Look at it this way. What this guitar taught you, will save you tons of money over the years, being able to set up your guitars, and trouble shoot ones before you buy them
@@DeweyJHall1 Agreed, and I really appreciate all I’ve learned through this process. 😆 As a math major, here’s how I think about it: if the starting point closer to the fretboard (the nut) is too high, no amount of adjustment from the distal point (the bridge) will make a meaningful difference to lower the overall action. It’s simple math-if the nut is limiting the action, the bridge becomes irrelevant for further adjustment. You can crank the bridge all the way down until the strings are kissing the pickups, but the action near the first fret will remain high if the nut isn’t properly set. That’s exactly what happened to me: my action near the first fret was ridiculously high (around 4-5mm), yet the strings near the bridge were so low they were almost touching the pickups. It was a bizarre combination, and it didn’t make sense. Initially, I thought, “There’s no way this could be the nut. A manufacturer couldn’t mess that up!” So I blamed myself for three years, thinking I was missing something about my setup technique. But then I had the presence of mind to question it: “What if it really is the nut?” See, setup instructions typically teach you to tune up, set the relief, adjust the action at the bridge, then intonate. The assumption is always that the nut was properly set at the factory. I trusted that because this guitar came from LTD-a well-established company under ESP with a reputation for quality. But three years later, frustrated and storing the guitar away as a “problem child,” I finally inspected the back of the headstock: “Made in China.” It all clicked. While LTD and ESP have great designs, outsourcing to regions with less rigorous quality control, like China, can lead to these kinds of issues. (Not trying to generalize or be discriminatory, just pointing out the reality of differing QC standards.) The problem wasn’t anything catastrophic-it was simply too much material on the nut shelf, causing the strings to sit too high above the first fret. Everything else on the guitar was fine. I replaced the Floyd Rose Special with an Original Floyd Rose (both are dimensionally identical, but the OFR is made from superior hardened steel), added a string retainer that the factory oddly omitted, and had my luthier lower the nut shelf so the strings would sit at a proper height near the first fret. These fixes were simple, but it was a learning experience. The guitar, a signature model, was otherwise great, and I got it for a steal, so it wasn’t worth throwing away. Now, if the problem had been too little material on the nut shelf, that would’ve been an entirely different (and more complex) story. 😂 But this fix was straightforward, and the guitar plays like it was meant to now. The takeaway? Never assume even well-known manufacturers get everything right, especially when outsourcing production. Check the fundamentals if something feels off!
@jaxfernandez3684 I had to file the nut slots on my new Gibson 80s explorer. The only string that was cut to the right depth, was the d string. All the rest were way to high. Luckily I had the tools and know how to fix it. And that's a $2500 made in USA guitar 🥴
@ damn. 😆 sorry to hear that. Gibson and American companies have fallen from Grace if I were to put it in Biblical terms.

Was wondering when you would get this one, I really want one as well, considering my band plays in B, I just wouldn't want to get it and it doesn't get played haha.
One comparison I do want to see is if they are wider than normal Les Paul types, because his is massive, and I could definitely use that.

@@jakelee4508 you're welcome! If it was the guitar you wanted, then you got the right guitar. You'll play more if it's a guitar you really like. What kinda V did you get?
So, I purchased a Fire Fly FFLPS Elite in emerald with a quilted top three years ago. It had major issues. The post holes for the bridge and tail piece were drilled over sized. Causing both to be loose. The saddles for the bridge were cut wrong and way too deep. The nut was nut wrong and the string spacing for the D&G string were not spaced evenly. The D&G string were too close to each other. The tuners would slip and the neck had a back bow. The guitar guitar would not hold tune. The back bow was so bad that I had to crank the truss rod in the counter clockwise direction way past the zero slack point to bring the neck straight. So thankful it had a double action truss rod in it. There were dead spots along the fretboard as well. The woods were not as advertised. The neck and body is all maple. The guitar is heavy. I was able to fix all the issues but I would not purchase one ever again. I replaced the nut, tuners, bridge and tail piece and all the electronics. I doweled the post holes and drilled to the proper size. I did a level and crown on the frets too. The guitar is ok for what it is. After a proper set up, it stays in tune now and plays and sounds great after all the repairs. The guitar looks beautiful with the emerald quilted top too. I didn't even talk about the finish issues which I was able to fix as well. I recommend not purchasing if you do not know how to fix the issues yourself. It would not be worth paying someone to fix a guitar that cost you anywhere from $189 to $240. You are better off purchasing an Epiphone Les Paul, Michael Kelly Patriot, Vintage V100 or any ESP/LTD Eclipse models. Hell, I purchased a Les Paul husk from Guitar Fetish for $150 and it is one hell of a guitar. I got all the hardware from their site as well to build it. The only major thing I had to do to the neck was set the string height at the first fret and polish the frets. I put Dimarzio's in that bad boy!
@@taz3672 that sucks yours turned out like that. That was 3 yrs ago tho, they've improved alot from what others have said. I've only had experience with them in the past 3 months or so. I've picked up around 15 of them in that length of time and they've all been great. I've not experienced any of the issues you mentioned on yours. I think 2 out of that many had 1 high fret each. Thunderhorse for sure. How's your white 80s explorer? I have one, it's awesome, had some minor Gibson quality issues though, as usual.
@@bligh1156 love it! Oh yeah, gibson get you everytime. Mine had one as well. I gotta do a follow up video on that one asap. Life has kept getting in my way of doing a proper video on it. But I hope to have it recorded before Christmas. What was wrong with yours?
@@DeweyJHall1 Nut was cut too deep on the D. Set up was all wrong. Paint and everything else was excellent.
@@bligh1156 I thought the D on mine was cut to low as well. Once I got out the feeler gauges and checked, the rest of the string were too high. I filed them down even with the D, and now its a monster
@@DeweyJHall1 That's better problem than mine, but still, shouldn't have either problem on a 'high end' guitar. My open D would buzz, regardless of setup, no clearance above the first fret.
@bligh1156 It's crazy the prices they want for a new guitar, and you still have to work on it
Man I hope mine is not a lemon
I hope it's not either! I recently got another one, and it was better than this one
I just received my off white bullseye a day ago. The wood work is amazing for the value. I got this as a platform to upgrade. I am extremely happy with the brand.
That's awesome! Same, I plan to upgrade to the ZW EMG set soon in mine!
Dear friend hi : Also is missing the songs : "The House of the Broken heart" and The ángel song" Thank very much my friend .....!!!!
