About the Accademia
Accademia dell’Opera Italiana, founded by pianist Brian Hughes and baritone Massimo Modoni, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of opera talent. Based in London, the Accademia offers young musicians a platform to launch their careers, with a focus on creating a supportive environment where performance excellence and artistic growth can flourish. Our comprehensive educational programmes include our five intensive London-based masterclasses for the 2024-25 academic year, led by today’s leading opera professionals, featuring world-class artists such as Nila Masala, Mirco Palazzi, Raffaella Milanesi, vocal coach Alexandre Naoumenko, and director Marco Bellussi, and renowned choir master Emanuela di Pietro.
