The second power shot (power volley) is only used for stamina management (not a thing with berserk/strife, setting up a stun or an exhaust flinch/dunk, or if there is a window where you can fit it in but not another full round of dash, rapid, power. Dash-rapid-power then repeat is slightly more dps than using power volley.

Spread is the best option on most matchups. It beats out rapid as long as you are good at hitting all 5 arrows. Rapid is a little easier to use due to it's critical distance being longer, but in order to even compete with spread you have to use bolt boost and hit in that super critical distance for most of the shots. It will still lose, but it's not bad. On matchups where pierce is best, it is by far the best. Pierce has the highest damage potential, but it doesn't have as many matchups as spread/rapid.

It's more effective against monsters with lower elemental hitzones since I prioritized attack boost over maxing out charge master and crit element. For the most part though, yes it's good against all monsters, you'd just need to switch bows and element up decorations to match each element. With that said, it doesn't have any armor augments so it's far from the best set you could make. Any set with halfway decent augments would be much better than this one, but TAWiki doesn't allow armor augments.

@@nicholasmerlo8821 You can't choose to target it, so it's all down to luck. There is a good build to target without a berserk charm. Chaotic Helm (augment mail of hellfire +1) Virtue Mail (augment 2 slots losing a level a ammo up) Choatic Vambraces (augment 2 slots losing a level of bloodlust) Primordial Coil (Augment mail of hellfire +1 losing a level of burst) Chotic Greaves (augment a mail of hellfire +1 losing a level of coalescence) Charm: Charge Mast 3 with at least 2 two slots. From that you gem in everything to max out elemental attack, mail of hellfire, crit element, strife, spread up, charge master, crit boost, berserk, bow charge plus, then get 3 levels of kushala blessing, handicraft, resentment, 2 levels of coalescence, weakness exploit, max might, ammo up, crit eye, and one level of elemental exploit, bloodlust, and burst.

@@eddieweekley2798 but when you say I lose I have to wait for the loss to occur when I boost or for example when you say augment 2 slot losing a level a ammo up..do I have to wait for the slots to increase but I lose ammo up?

@@nicholasmerlo8821 Mostly you are just looking for what each augment asks you to gain. So if it's slots you just want to find an augment that is giving you however many extra slots. If you can get the specific skill or slot requirement without losing a skill then that's even better. Losing a specific skill is just more likely and what was listed was the best skill to lose with each armor piece for that specific build. You can make that build without MoH and not really lose much so in that case it's far less reliant on augments. MOH is pretty low priority even if it does give a decent elemental boost.

@@BlueVoltageBlader TAWiki just means no augments on the armor pieces. So the most basic one for bow would be full chaotic gore. The set I use here and in any of my recent runs are TAWiki sets so you could check them out to see a few variants of how to build one for bow.

There is a switch skill for the power shot called absolute power shot that gives it stun/exhaust damage. It uses more stamina than the normal power shot, but stamina doesn't matter anymore thanks to strife.

@@dorian6032 Skill called berserk. Turns all your health red, youare constantly draining, but you also don't take damage. If you get hit it drains faster, switching scrolls resets drain speed. Look up Tidus69's berserk guide for more details.

The set would look very different if I was going to use augments and it might look different the next time I upload a cleaner run. I'm debating about using WEX now instead of crit eye, but the reason I didn't use it here is because I wanted as much affinity as possible without needing to hit weakspots in order to break the wings as efficiently as possible. The set isn't fully optimized yet because I still don't think my execution is good enough for it to matter.

It might not even be an an increase in damage and I don't usually use that tech, but I was bored, and anything to make the damage go just a tiny bit higher on him was worth it. It increases hitlag so it can mess with timings and sometimes you can lose an entire volley due to it.

Nope. It's only use in adrenaline/heroics runs is to half your health so you can drain into range of the raw boost faster. Still really important since it isn't possible to trigger heroics fast enough without either taking a hit or using berserk to half your health.

Thanks. I may keep running him. I'm kind of annoyed he ran me over 3 times. Just not sure how much time is left to save since it seems way more reliant on getting good luck on his charged state than I thought.

My main goal was to get through a fast run without getting hit, so mission accomplished. Kind of hard to push myself to go lower when nobody else is fighting this thing. Time to switch Astalos next....better attacks worse hitzones. Maximum white numbers.

Pierce and spread are different in what they are best used against. Pierce is more niche and requires the monster to either have a line of good hitzones or equally bad ones. Spread lets you target a specific hitzone and for most fights it's the better option, but when pierce is good (Mizutsune, Diablos, etc) it's by far the best option.

@@robigitarisgaming Strife. As long as you have 60% of your health as red health you get infinite stamina, 20% affinity, and 20% more element.
