Born and raised in a small city called Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, at the age of 15, I moved to Melbourne to complete high school before settling in Auckland, New Zealand. I was born into a low income family, my earliest travel experience has always been ultra low budget and room sharing with family friends. Each flight, I look out the window and admire the marvellous piece of metal carrying us effortlessly, while flying was mostly a privilege for my childhood, I didn't miss the action, the golden hour of my hometown airport we get a B777 flying in. I am excited and looking forward to being able to explore more parts of the world, doing what I love most and sharing that same passion and experience with you.

Almost Perfection on Japan Airlines 👌 [Domestic J Class]
This is my first time flying JAL, and I managed to get an upgrade to the J Class. What a treat to fly an airline that has everything worked out and run like clockwork, immaculate cabin and professional crew.

Luxury Economy Class on Japan's Boutique Airline ✈️

With only 11 aircrafts on their fleet, this small airline is definitely competing with some of the biggest competitors in the market such as JAL and ANA, whose offering are far more valuable in terms of connectivity, frequent flyer status and hard product. So what sets Starflyer apart from the rest of the competition? CHAPTERS: 00:00 - Intro 01:10 - Haneda Airport Vending Machine 02:36 - Haneda...

On this sector I will be flying from Auckland to Nadi, on their Boeing 737 Max 8. This was originally scheduled to operate on their Boeing 737-800. Since they are rated as a 5 star airline by Skytrax (also known as "Scamtrax), above the rating of Air New Zealand and Qantas (this is quoted on their website by the way), I will be judging them by this standard. 00:00 - Intro 00:50 - Seat features ...

Should you pay a premium to fly Air NZ?

With recent price increases, I went on a flight with them to see whether they are still an airline that provides the best value domestically. Excellent flight review
Thank you 😊
3:33 this is peak Japan
Just subscribed you're videos are great I have been to KK I went to see the orangutans in Sarawak
Awesome hope you enjoyed your trip 😎
Is this economy class? What type of aircraft is it? How much time did this flight take?
Yes it's all economy class on board, they operate A320 and A320neo, the one I'm on is a ceo. Flight time between Tokyo and Osaka is generally only an hour or so
yes always pay business for medium to long haul and premium economy on the 787 because i hate the seat configuration in business class
Well at least we'll be getting a new business class product soon, although I'm not sure they are any better compared to the competitors though
Then why you still coming to our country?? Go to Asia will you.
😂 racist
@Pack jet roam Who is racist watch your bloody mouth.First thing stop complaining. When you go for a vacation prepare your self. That is a problem when you do your booking on the Internet
um you told me to go to Asia, why Asia? You are the one who said it not me. Why don't you say go to America, or Australia? Secondly there's a difference between a complaint and a review/critique, so educate yourself on that first, the title literally says "Review" so why are you here if you if you can't handle a negative aspect of a "review". Thirdly it is not a vacation, it is a job, I did not have to prepare myself because I booked it to test out the hotel. Most people book their hotel through the internet, where do you think people book their room from, a phonebook? 😂
I have met nothing but nice people during my time in Nadi. I am not sure what your problem is getting all worked up with a hotel review and using such vile language which does not represent the Fijian people that I know both where I'm from and during my time in Fiji. Anyone who comes across this comment thread should not put any weight on this person's character nor their comment as I believe they have ill intent to smear my video as I try to show the truth, which is often challenging and getting pushback by people with alternative agenda. If you want to visit Fiji, then go ahead and do so, if you still want to stay in this property after seeing this video, then go ahead as it is your money and you can spend as you see fit. I work hard for my money and I believe that I can get better value with it, that's my opinion and if you disagree with me I do not care because it doesn't change anything for me but don't come to the comment and give me a bunch of bullshit comment unless it is constructive criticism which this person is not doing.
Nobody says any negative comments you the first one to
I said what I said, it's called a review. I ain't glazing it up with honey so the hotel can scam people out with more money. If you don't like what I have to say, then go somewhere else 👋
@PackJetRoam take your review some where else please 🥺🥺🥺
Post why don't you go and complain to the hotel staff rather on you tube
It’s called a review, I’ve also provided the review to the hotel for their reference, my job is to make a review. If you’re looking for a fake review, unfortunately you’re in the wrong place and I’m sure there are someone out there who would be paid by the property to do a glammed up version
Wish they chose some soft music .Just instrumental.
Not sure if they take music requests 😂 but it's tropical vibes nonetheless
Very disappointed. Thank you so much for posting...I'm glad that I got a chance to view your video.....NOT GOING TO BOOK!
I'm glad it helped you. At the current state I wouldn't advice so, there are many other resorts around to choose from at that price range.
@cynthianelloliott1962 Does not stop people from coming in.
I’m not stopping people from spending their money there 😂 if you want to spend your money at their property, then do so. I’m telling people my experience and what I believe the value is at, if they think I’m full of shit, well they don’t have to watch my review or even take any of my advise 🤷♂️
Why didnt you fly Qantas or Air NZ instead. Better for you.
FJ was the cheapest, Qantas did have a sale later on for slightly more and I may go with them if I knew but regardless FJ has some of the most competitive rates to Asia and North America. Air NZ is not one I would usually go for because they are the most expensive in this region, although they do occasionally have deep sale rate but it's normally one way only and restricted to one or a couple of dates in the near future.
I did that nrt to nan flight also, I found terminal 2 at narita bland and boring, I was in business so it was better than economy but the seat config is meh, re the window shade, you're a better person than me, I would of told her to-go away and left it up lol, thanks for yr content
There's definitely not much going on in that terminal and lacking a lot of food options that many other airports offer. I did fly business from NAN to AKL (video coming soon) and it's definitely a very outdated product and poor design choices for some stuff. Well I wasn't in the mood for an argument and I didn't sleep well so I was just like whatever although I'm not happy about it 😂
@@PackJetRoam yeah I understand, I'm doing the akl-nan-sin-nan-akl in business in afew weeks.. will be interesting, look forward to yr review
Nice review mate, always a country and airline I've been keen to try but yet to get around to. Keep up the great work!
Thanks. Just be prepared to open up your wallet if you go to Nadi 😂
I like your commentary. Good job.
Thank you for the feedback 🥰 glad you enjoyed it
love the video
Thanks Brent, appreciate the positive feedback 🥰
So boring & no appreciation 😮
this was an earlier video that I have made and we all have to start somewhere, I can't say that it can compare to the quality I will produce today but it was a necessary stepping stone, we all have to start somewhere, and I am sure I have a lot more to learn and in a few years looking back the videos I produce today may not be as polish. I will definitely be planning to making some Air NZ videos in the future so I hope that those will meet your expectation better.
Def not nice of the guy to highlight you're travelling alone 👎. Best way to travel, imho!
Not the first time, had it happened when I was overseas in a resort just enjoying my life 😂 the staff was seeing me chillng at the pool then asked me aren't I lonely being alone, I know it's weird given most people go there with their family or partner but it doesn't bother me. I don't mind traveling with my partner if I've one but I'm not going to miss out on life because people thought it would be weird to travel/do things alone. If I was that person I would have missed out so much.

The JFK-AKL route is very interesting to watch especially for an aviation geek like me NZ has beautiful Aircrafts and stuff but Qantas is Legitimately Crushing Air New Zealand since their comeback to JFK this past June
Yes Qantas does have a far superior business class hard product in comparison to Air NZ, which will steal a lot of business travelers. Not to mention that Air NZ have to limit their weight on the west bound flight which Qantas can eliminate once they get the A350ULR bringing in more revenue per flight.
NO GOOD … NOT COMPLETE . DID NOT SHOW MEALS /VABIN ACYIVITY
I am sorry that it wasn't a good quality content. This was my very first few attempts on making a video and there were many parts that can be improved upon which I have since. Please do check out my more recent videos which have improved significantly and I hope you will enjoy those better. I hopefully be able to redo another China Airlines PE video someday.
😌 I struggled to find food in Korea as a vegetarian too. And it’s harder than Japan in fact! 😢
I think it's a combination of factors that made my case worst, I have seen some other creators who are vegan and able to find food even after closing of the restaurant (we went to the same restaurant at the same time apparently 😂). I'm just a picky eater and have a bit more limited budget to work with and not being entirely familiar with the country just made things harder I suppose. But the few days I was in Seoul I was able to find food across the city but definitely need some planning for us with dietary requirements since we can't walk into any restaurant not knowing the language or understanding the menu.
@@PackJetRoam yes totally agree! preplanning is required. totally understand why you are picky with the food choices so don't worry too much about it. 😄 I do spend hours myself just to settle down on food.
Fantastic mate :), I loved my time in Tokyo, loved the connivence of the vending machines as you pointed out (and the one stop shop 7-11s/ Family Marts etc) The Tokyo Metropolitan Government building that I think you mentioned was an absolute ripper can't complain about the free cost!
And every convenient stores have different food so it doesn't get bored if I am to live with them day to day which is so great, and it's not very expensive either I believe it's around $5-10 including drinks. Yea the Metropolitan government building provide a great tourist spot for budget tourist especially but everyone can still enjoy it given that I believe there's no other observatories around that area? There are also many layers to each area that it would take a long time to really explore, I was only in Shinjuku and Shibuya for a day each and I barely touched the surface, I would probably spent a few more days next trip to discover every nook and cranny of that area because it's so fascinating and overwhelming with everything that's going on
Great video! Brings back memories when I was there, I like this mega city 😊
Nice reivew
Thank you 🙂
Vegetarian is terrible to order
Well as long as they cater for people with dietary requirements and the offering is not widely different to what the expectation of the type of food is being eaten then I don't see any issues. If I order a vegetarian meal and they serve me a banana then I would be outraged. One of the issues with the Qantas meal is the serving is smaller than I would have expected for a business class product, but for the price they are charging I cannot complaint either.
Emirates is a far superior product across the Tasman. Flying the luxurious A380 is the only way to go!
I'm not aware of any Emirates flight doing a stopover in Australia, I haven't seen any airfare that shows Emirates as an option, they might have in the past though, but they still do fly direct Auckland to Dubai
SYD-CHC is operated by Emirates@@PackJetRoam
Emirates fly to Sydney & onto Dubai, from Christchurch everyday using their A380.@@PackJetRoam
Yes I don't think they do any more I don't think the seat is any wider@@PackJetRoam
Emirates business is subpar based on the reviews I’ve seen, but won’t say no to a flight on the A380 though 🤭 too bad they don’t operate Tasman flights out of Auckland anymore
Amazing Tokyo! I missed Tokyo Sky Tree last time there but will go there soon! So high! Great video!!
Cheers Henry 🙌
@@PackJetRoam cheers 👍
Enjoy Tokyo! I was there many years ago, it's amazing how many people you see!
It didn't feel busy for the size of the city, NYC was a lot more crowded on the streets I felt. I love my time there and will definitely be going back someday.
@@PackJetRoam Yes indeed,Tokyo is fascinating!.Good travels!!
As per your review, these are the things we have to be aware of when travelling on a low cost carrier. There are pros and cons. After trying a few, I finally decided to just rather save up a little more money and travel on an airline with a good reputation and history. Which full fare airlines are your favourites? Thanks for your video. 🙂
I bought a ticket with them before the pandemic and ended up getting a credit after so I had to use it either way 😂 no escaping Jetstar unfortunately, but the deal was also too good 🤑 I had a surprisingly great flight with Qantas business class, China Airlines wasn't too bad either (both reviews on my channel if you haven't watch that)
Fantastic and comprehensive review of the Jetstar A320 and Dreamliner experience mate, very well compilled and great views along the way from Queensland to Tokyo! Looking forward to the next one! :)

Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback 🙂
What did you think of sears tower? I thought it was a bit over hyped considering its just tiny grubby windows and....well, a view of a smoggy city. The tv in the lift was just too much.
It has been awhile since this video so I don't have much of a memory of this observatory, but looking back it was a cloudy day but I was able to see out most of the time and don't really have any negative image of it in terms of visiting the observatory, I've visited quite a few across the world and they all seems to be more or less the same, minus some with outdoor terraces and glass bottoms. The TV in the lift was probably not really much of a highlight given I've seen much better ones.
Nice review. I have good experience Bamboo Airways Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City.
Annoying music
thanks for the feedback, this was a fairly early video of mine and I've learnt a lot more with increasing the quality of my video with observing other contents and feedback.
If you fly Business, you may have a different opinion.
A lot of airlines have contrasts when it comes to different cabin classes especially when it comes to service, but that's the experience I got flying with them in that cabin class.
Not Air NZ's fault, but never would I ever take this flight! 2.5 hours waiting to disembark. Crazy! JFK obv as disdainful of its long haul passengers as LAX. 👎
Ended up being longer than the westbound flight, but better than getting diverted to Rarotonga or Nadi which is probably longer given that has happened multiple times since the launch
@@PackJetRoam Yeah you can't help but wonder whether dropping London to do this has been a huge mistake. It may make sense on paper, but with all the disrupts and reduced loading no way can they be be making money on this. And that's before Qantas starts competing!!
tbh I think they chose the wrong aircraft to launch this route, or at least the wrong configuration, since both SQ and QF uses longer range aircrafts and reduced capacity configuration to achieve these flights, also meaning more comfort for such a long duration if they spread it out a bit more, it wasn't the most uncomfortable though to be fair, but more legroom is always better. I wonder whether they are planning a reduced capacity config cabin when they install the cabin with skybed since there's no room to put that thing unless they take out a galley which I don't think they could, and probably for them to launch it on these ultra long haul would be more beneficial as people will be able to rest better and maybe longer. If they want to stick to the Dreamliner maybe they could have negotiated to have it built like the A350ULR where they utilize the 787-10 body and fit extra fuel tanks for longer ranger plus more/same capacity, although I actually think Air NZ didn't think they needed to given we're not too far from the Pacific Islands and Hawaii where they can always divert to, for Singapore that's a little more difficult as there's no airports in the North Pacific Ocean hence they need more fuel for diversion maybe? In saying that QF is using an ULR aircraft as well so who knows.
could chopping London be due to the highly competitive market? Emirates, Qatar, Singapore Airlines or even in their case making a stop with access to Delta, AA, United, Jetblue all fly towards there so there's not much of a point to do a stop and then continue onwards with so many competition. NY is a good stopping point I suppose for people wanting to connect to London given that is a very competitive route and there's always cheaper fares going, and many carriers to choose from to connect to other parts of Europe, I have to try out Jetblue one day given how underrated they are
@@PackJetRoam Yes, agree. Wrong aircraft. Do they have 787-10's on order, or just new, differently configured, 787-9's?? Either way, rather than dealing with changing carriers / missing connections /losing bags etc 'somewhere' in the USA to get to the UK, I'm way more likely now to pick a Middle Eastern (had a great experience with Qatar to Adelaide and back recently) or Asian carrier (NOT SQ!), that can provide a more seamless connection. As a v loyal Air NZ customer of many years it pains me to say that, but I know I'm far from alone in thinking this way :(
It’s not the longest flight in the world.
well blame youtube for title word restriction and also without making it slightly clickbaity it's not gonna generate views right, but I did state the fact that it is the 5th longest flight on the thumbnail so you just have to look over there to find the truth
It looks like Polenta…the main menu. It’s a corn based.
Thanks, I don't know much about food and they don't give out menu for special order so it's a bit difficult to work out what it is
