The cool thing that i remember doing in this mission, when Pixy switches to the burst missiles, if you follow him closely enough, you can completely avoid the blast.

Oh that mission man. Back in the days i played this mission so much. The music is fitting so good to every scene. Also Cool to see that russians and americans working together. Even it's only a video game. Unfortunately in these days unthinkable..

The best thing about computer simulations is recreating famous battles or impossible encounters. 1 Eagle vrs 10 Fishbeds? 2 Tomcats vrs 100 Mitsubishi Zeros? An F-15 vrs a dragon? Simulations let you do it all and no one gets hurt. Wanna drink and fly an F-16? Hey no one gets hurt. Throw the bottle out the open canopy as you buzz the tower. If you wish to read up on aviation stuff these are my 3 favorite books: - Her Majesty's Top Gun by Sharkey Ward - When Thunder Rolled by Ed Rasimus - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

Honestly I feel blessed on NOT missing this series. This battle remain one of my All time favorite boss fights of all time. The song alone was just worth the whole experience. Masterpiece.

I fucking hate this mission!! I never defeated this guy. His craft does impossible maneuvers. It's like sometimes he flies with the craft standing. Sometimes flying reverse. I try to engage from intakes but this bastard rapidly changes craft direction. I feel to aiming a flyer! The game is amazing, but this final mission is stupid the way dogfight with this guy!!

How rare that the developers programmed the ai's last stage is to fight like a knight jousting to match the games theme. Thats what made games like this really good
The only way to really do this mission is use the f15 cipher skin.
One of the most iconic moments in not only gaming, but human entertainment and fiction.
I used a Su-37 in the markings of Yellow 13 against Pixy's plane.

You know, this is the first time I've seen anyone actually flying Cipher's canonical mount against Pixy's Morgan on YT; usually the battle is either a mirror match, or they're going to bragging rights by flying some aircraft not specced for A2A.
Canonically, Cypher starts with the blue Eagle, but I think it would make sense to assume that he'd have upgraded his plane by the final mission, so while there's a certain level of dramatic tone for fighting Pixy with your original Eagle, Cypher has probably brought something a bit more advanced to Avalon. I imagine he'd have upgraded some time between dealing with the Belkan radicals in Final Overture and the appearance of World With No Boundaries.

The way you're supposed to do this fight is repeated head-on passes, like you're jousting.

I know this is a 4 year old game but i want to say something.... I liked pixy my companion i was always there to help him and he was always there to help me i loved that guy but when he betrayed me i almost cried didnt end.the game.so i wont kill him bb pixy farewell

ADFX-02 Morgan is the best aircraft , Falken too...
depends the Falkens TLS lasts longer and carries more ammo , but the morgan has MPBM

i know an ace combat-or if thats a word sucks through one of the following signs: (they use camera lock by holding down triangle button) (they cant live without special weapons) (they use other modes than first person which means they dont give a fck angle degree ,speed and all things that matters in flight).

to be fair I like 3rd person as the plane animations are often very detailed ,bot with an FPV screen I´d go cockpit view to have as much immersion as possible
I mean on ace pixy can be an ass if you use just standard MSSLs. Saying someone is bad for using half of his damned weapons is just being incredibly elitist.
Probably the best arcade shooter series. Nice ost, good story and fun gameplay. Some people even think it pretends to be a flight simulator game, lol.
That's the beauty of it. The game is very simple and easy to learn but it makes you really FEEL like you're a fighter pilot. I call that excellent game design.

Dude you suck bad you're making it look so tough getting him in your sight. I got the morgan and falken in this game just a few days into playing it. Easiest ace combat ever.
Yea? That means that was your objective in the entire game, i bet you've beat it on top, 3 times... Have you ever heard of Ace difficulty? Porbably in the playtroughs... Then it's easy to unlock it using the Falken/Morgan, beating Mobius? That's so easy, that's what TLS is for... I bet that's how you've beat "The easiest Ace Combat ever" The only thing i agree, is that it's too short, i wished it was long as AC5...
TLS is for wimps =D I recall having beaten Mobius with almost every craft except Nighthawk. Damn, that craft sucks =( The only way I could do it with bricky crafts (fun fact: the A-10 is nimbler than many. Amazing rudders that one got) was to get to the ceiling that threw you back down like Pocket Tanks physics so you could face Mobius, but that super XMAA would hit you in the face sometimes. I guess I was lucky the first time I did it with the F-4 and it worked, otherwise I would have given up. Or not. Great Game!
Antonio Maximiano Dude, i ALMOST did it with a Nighthawk once... Fucksanely hard... still the worse plane is the F-5. And yes, that guy i was calling, i bet he "beat the game" exactly how i said above, since he haven't replied or raged

If you played this game enough, no matter the difficulty, it'll be easy no matter what. Beat this game on ace when I was 9 over and over and over again and never got boring. I'd typically use the F/A-18C in the blue and yellow colours or the blue EA-18G however I never unlocked the Falken as I never figured how to...
Simple.. Have an AC5 save in your Memory card, yep.. i Asked AC5 because of that
Thanks. All I've gotta do is get another PS2 from a second hand shop as well as AC4, 5 and Zero plus a memory card and I'll be set. I never got to play AC5 though but I have played AC4 and obviously Zero. Thank you again theacecombatmaster. 😄

I thought the Falken could also be unlocked by having 'S' en every mission (and every ace style) in Ace difficulty. And the Wyvern could be as well. I do remember having played it before owning an AC5 copy. Of the modern (completely dead flight physics) Ace Combats, Zero was the one I found most fun to play.

By canon, you're both flying the same planes. That's why your eagle has the blue version of Pixy's livery, but with both wings painted. You can see it in the trailer.

The near collision would be a heart pounder to some people.
Strange... I remember that scene coming right after my last hit, which by coincidence ,was exactly as the cutscene shows. I turned for one side and pixy to the other (or just kept his direction) and while I pulled the elevators from my plane, my missles gone right into his face.
