Eddie izzard was my childhood heroes. Listened to him in my Walkman almost everyday. Years later, I saw him in the Sainsbury’s in Edinburgh Waverley station. I wanted to stop him and tell what he meant to me. But I could see the rush he was in. So just took it as a footnote and moved on

There he was, an Englishman, in shorts and t-shirt, with painted nails and makeup, running in the South African midday sun! He definitely got some wide-eyed stares. Eddie is a rare species indeed.
