How to Hand Sew Hook and Loop Tape on a Bag Pocket
Просмотров 8 тыс.4 года назад
This episode shows how to whip stitch hook and loop tape onto a bag pocket without taking the bag apart. The whip stitch is a hand sewing technique that's an ideal type of stitch for times when you're attaching something, like hook and loop tape or an applique, to something that's already been made. This small purse is a great example, because it didn't have any closures on it when I got it, so...

How to Hand Sew a Buttonhole
Просмотров 1726 лет назад
This video shows how to sew a buttonhole by hand. I used embroidery floss in the video so it would stand out more for the camera, but would normally use the same thread used to make the garment so everything matches. I'm sorry this is filmed 'sideways' - if I can't figure out how to turn it, I'll reshoot it because I know people don't, as a rule, like films in this aspect ratio.

They're a hard machine to find. I found a couple used ones on eBay - here's an affiliate link if you want to check out the nicer of the 2 that I found: ebay.us/eEhlPo
Did it have a thread cutter
Yes, it does. Sorry I forgot to show it.
Me gustaría que lo pusieran en español
My Spanish is weak, very weak. I'm sorry!

Posting in a thread test test thread.
Thank you for posting. Helpful to me 😊
I have sewing with the XR65 machine for at least 18 years. It is monster 😂 and I love it dearly. It is a great sewing machine, a little bit in the heavy side for a portable one because it has metal parts which make this machine sturdy and almost unbreakable. 😅❤
Where's the threading episode? I cannot figure out the self threading mechanism
1:29 the camera is so shaky that i cant tell which part u were pointing to....bad lesson
Cómo desmontó la tensión superior de esta máquina?
Thank you! I never knew this.
So I picked up an XR-65 at thrift store paid 20.00 I need to clean it up but trying to find out what year it is or was made
I think it is from 2004. The manual is available online.
I hope the hook and eye came out better than your video which borders on nearly impossible to view!!
I have no idea what you pointed at because your camera doesn’t show us from a top angel. I’m so confused. I’ll try another video.
I just got some thread off Amazon.. it says "Heavy Duty".. but supplied no numbers... Since I could see you were easily breaking the thread with your hands, I thought I would give this thread I just got a go with my hands.. I couldn't break it at all with my hands.. I started to cut into my fingers.. So.. Now I just need to decide, is this strong thread, or are you MUCH stronger than I am.. LOL... Thank you for giving me a benchmark to make a guess..
great idea, i enjoyed your musings :)
Hola alguien puede ayudarme con esta máquina para mantenimiento porfavor
I don't see a good result
for various holes is it better to do multiple small patches or one big patch?
Por favor lo pueden explicar en español
Tengo una maguina de esta y no guiere coser no se k fue lo k se le desajusto
Thank you for the video
Realize that you made this video a long time ago but I just been trying to find out some information what is that dial on the back of the XR 65?
The back dial is to balance the stitches on the buttonhole so that one side of the buttonhole doesn't have tighter stitches than the other side. You have to play with it a bit to get the right balance for your machine.
Thank you
I’m just learning to sew is the Xr46 simular
I bought brothers universal needles and they don't want to fit could you help me please?
I got brother Universal needles and won't stay when I put them in

blurry what are slides at top ?
Which bobbin does the CG-590 use? I think I have the wrong Singer ones.
Hi, can you do a video on how to remove a piece of needle that fell inside a Singer 590C sewing machine? Thanks
Porfavor idioma Español, no entiendo
Not very efficient
Good info! Thanks for posting.
That blue isn't liquid. It's crumbling away
You can buy the Manuel on line, I bought mine online.
I do not have a manual with my machine! Thank you. Any info is so helpful.
Thank you!
Can you do a tutorial on how to put that black thing on for the bobbin? I have the exact same sewing machine but I’m having trouble putting the black thing on. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing... I just got the cg-550 sewing machine from a goodwill without a manual... whatever comes to your mind please keep these type of videos coming. I just subscribed
Horrible audio and where is the second part to this??
Because it looks horrible
hello ok thank you very much I hope you don't mind the request it may seem a little bit unusual to film such request but thank you very much for taking the time to consider and reply back have a beautiful day.
hello very nice videos very helpful very good its a very nice sewing machine in the future please kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew please ok?please kindly reply back and have a beautiful day.
Thank you for watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment for me. I'll be sure to include a video on using the electric foot pedal as I make more videos. I appreciate the input on what you would like to see.
^
You’re not even explaining anything in detail about that machine. You’re not going through steps on how to thread the Bobben, you’re not going through all with the machine has to offer and how to thread or how it works! You do not mention the features that offers If it drop in bobbin if the needle threads Threads itself etc. What are you there to offer
I appreciate you taking time to leave feedback for me, and I'll try to incorporate your suggestions into future videos so they'll be more useful for viewers. The machine in this video broke when being repaired - probably because it has so many plastic pieces inside, so I can't really try again on this machine to show anything else about it unless someone wants to see what it looks like inside the case. Thank you again for commenting, and thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment!
How do I use this machine to make a buttonhole? Can you make a video to demostrate? I seem to do all the steps correctly according to the manual, but for some reason I end up with a big ball of bunched up thread underneath the fabric... the machine doesn't move to make the buttonhole
What a bad way to show the basics... No focus with the camera, it’s all blurry. Leave the bottle on the side and do it when you are sober.
Why. is it necessary to be so mean?
@@BKLorenBooks Hi Ms. BK Loren, my mother left this comment for you while she was trying to work out the mechanics of her sewing machine and often when she gets frustrated, she tends to be pretty spicy and straight forward… Unfortunately and for your sake and safety, you won’t have to worry anymore, She passed away on January 9th from health complications. But I did often got a kick of how funny and dark she was. I’m reading her comments and your reply and I can not help laughing at how direct and rather rude she was but she always called it like she saw it. Sorry and blessings
