You must repent from your sins and believe the gospel. Then you can be filled with the Holy Spirit, which is being born again. Jesus said if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off, as you'd be better to enter the kingdom of heaven with one hand, then to be cast into hell with both. Jesus spoke about repentance and hell, more than the other 64 books of the bible put together. Why? Because He's the only one bold and loving enough to warn us. If your pastor isn't warning you about hell, then he doesnt love you, he's just a wolf in sheeps clothing! May Jesus bless you.

Being white doesn't mean your racist, being Christian doesn't mean your a good person either. The beliefs of the church have failed its people. Christians believe in a savior born in Nazareth that wasn't a white person, we put all our hopes in a non white savior that is not a tendency of racist people. The problem with the word racism is that its weaponized against anyone that thinks differently just to try and shame them. God is love and he created us all if we would one time stick together in his name he would bless us all.

The solution is NOT to drink alcoholic beverages at all. Your body is to be God’s Temple and as such doing anything that could defile your body should be avoided. This includes gluttony, but also would include abuse of drugs, consuming alcohol, smoking of any type, sex outside of marriage, etc. Most of these can be controlled by total abstinence. Self control is necessary when it comes to gluttony as everyone has to eat, but none of the other areas should be difficult if you truly want to be pure. But, participation with ANY of those other areas will telegraph to God and to all of your peers that you are more interested in pleasing yourself than pleasing Him. This will render your Christian testimony nearly useless before others as they will see you as largely unchanged from your sinful self before you became a Christian. Failure to live as pure as you can before a sin-filled world makes your witness about the saving power of Jesus far less effective. Total abstinence from areas that can be avoided completely (such as alcohol, drugs, extra-marital sex, etc.) leaves you only having to contend with such as gluttony and foul language (as everyone has to speak plus eat. Playing with trying to not “over due” these other areas is like playing Russian Roulette. Eventually, there’ll be a round in the chamber when you pull the trigger.
