3rd session of the evening. first time back out after getting a black flag for noise limits so was taking it a little easier and short shifting to try and keep the revs down in hope that i didnt trip the noise testers which thankfully worked

Second session of of the evening with Jake onboard as passenger. Sadly got a red flag not long into the session so came back in but track was quickly re opened. Very busy session so didn’t get much chance of getting a clean lap in.

3rd session of the evening at brands with my good friend jake on board as passenger. sadly got cut short as i got black flagged for the first time ever in doing trackday and it was for exceeding noise limits. never had an issue with noise so can only think it may have been where the exhaust was popping naturally at higher revs i don't have a pop and bang map fitted.

Fukin flys that
I dont even think a 1960 el camino with metal motor mounts has this amount of shake
How many miles your car done now?
Just ticked over 250,000 miles
@@tonybrough5561 Really? And no issues with engine?
amazing driving
Fuggen awesome! I think our cars probably max out around 170+ mph.
impressive run mate! i know 5 years are passed, a quick question about mapping: is this a custom map or just the 4902b maxd map provided by pumaspeed? thanks for the input
That is one fit bastard of a car. It gets the power down so well
Are you running full interior or harness and bucket seats and what divertor value you running once easing of power it sounds good
Yeah full interior and stock seats as it’s still my daily driver car. It’s a forge recric BOV
What bhp is your ST? And how long you been running big turbo? No engine issues?
Last time is was on the dyno like 4 years ago was 330bhp Been running a hybrid turbo from 68,000 miles now on 233,000 have changed the turbo a few times though
@@tonybrough5561Must be a very strong engine. What was the secret to the engine standing up to they power for so long? Plenty o regular oil changes with good oil?
@@Kenny.1979 pretty much so change the oil over 6000 miles and regular check everything else as well. Only use ford spec castrol oil and genuine filters. I do also have an oil cooler fitted but that has only been fitted for the last year or so but I’m sure that does help
What bhp is that running?
Wow 👀
My ST has just hit 110k. Need my timing belt done. What mileage you at now?
223k 😳
How long has it been running this power and have you had any major issues along the way considering one myself
Been on a hybrid turbo for over 5 years now Had to have turbo rebuilt and core change but cars been brilliant so far
Is the car still going mate?
Yeah happy to report it is, alternator failed yesterday at 223k miles, fixed and back on the road
Could you do a walk around video of this car and show all the mods you have done, would really like to see it.
Has the cambelt and water pump done yet..
Past 200k miles yet? 😆
210k and still going 💪🏻
@@tonybrough5561 unreal 👌
@tony brough with stuck pistons and rods?
@@jacobchristensen5053 engine is untouched
You still need to post your favourite yellow Ferrari mate 😂
Yes I do 😆 will try get that one up tonight 👍🏻
Still going strong? Mine hit 102000 miles the other day
210000 miles strong 💪🏻😎
Still going strong? You’ve definitely pushed me more towards the x47r with stealthworx just for reliability plus its quick enough. Was thinking s280 with trs but i think id rather play it safe
S280 would be the safer option of the 2, less boost for the same power. Less wear on parts and less boost and heat
You got forge recirc
Yeah that’s the one 👍🏻
@@tonybrough5561 intresting, mine doesn’t do the flutter and it always did on stock turbo. Booked in with Pumaspeed for a warranty turbo so hopefully they sort it
Hi tony, car sounds mint! What BOV are you running?
It’s a forge recirc valve
Are you running stock valve springs for that rpms or are they resistant enough?
@Aaron i know that they hold plenty of power but rpm wise its another story some cars resist pretty high hp on stock internals but not too much high rpms thats why i asked if it had stiffer valve springs or stock since its revving pretty high for a stock valve train on an engine that stock limits arpund 6500rpm only
Not a ford fiesta but if turbo swapped a 2003-2006 mini Cooper r53s can hold 400 HP stock engine and internals easily Iron block ftw lol I do like the fiesta's though and actually had a 13 focus with st2 pack. 2005 mini Cooper r53s big blower swap on menthol etc and 13 clubman jcw as the daily
Yeah this will outrun a cop in a US any day holy 160+mph in a 2700Lbs car.
Hi Tony, That's my cousin with you, Rosie, we have to meet up sometime
She still going strong? Mileage? Mines about to clock 90000miles. Got a manifold leak that I need to sort out:(
Yeah still as strong as ever probably a little quicker now with interior partially stripped. You are one 100k behind me as I’m now sitting at a mind boggling 191,000 miles 😬
@@tonybrough5561 holy shit mate. Well looked after then. Any engine issues? Gearbox?
hey that was me in the mx5 , first track day far to much gas ! hahah
Certainly was a slippery one but definitely good fun
You were so quick no idea where you found the grip. I was in blue clio 182 you went passed twice in this clio. I couldn't get any grip from my car at all
I was still struggling even with a recently fitted quaife Diff and tbh my Michelin pilot PS4 tyres didn’t have the greatest amount of thread but even so was great fub
@@tonybrough5561 only running 15s so ps3 is best they have. Should have bought my r26 with ps4. Track car was pointless on the night road car would have been better my son was fine in his corrola with ps4
Need to go through and catch up. Been subbed to you for years as you're one of the people with a high bhp fiesta build which has been done right and you've put serious miles
Thanks mate I do try to take care of the old girl. Definitely not the best condition car but it’s done me proud and just keeps on trucking
Dude thats is nuts, what gearing ratio did you go with the reach 160mph and did you notice a slower 0-60 time while increasing the top speed
I haven’t changed anything in the gearbox is the standard ST180 gearbox ratio
@@tonybrough5561 blimey i thought they wouldnt go over 143mph when tuned mate, what supporting mods you got please cos im looking to buy one next year mate
@@danryan9533 just your typical stage 3 mods X47R turbo Airtec intercooler Boost pipe Forge BOV Decat Miltek cat back exhaust Airtec induction kit Crossover pipe And loads more non performance bits
@@tonybrough5561 wow is that it jesus christ, cheers mate i cant wait to get one now
@@danryan9533to anyone reading, the stock gearing is technically limited to just over 170mph but ST180 are limited by their power to achieve it
Hey chap, how the engine workin now? Stock clutch still? X47R still?
186.000 miles now still on stock clutch and X47R. Gearbox will be replaced soon as it’s started making some noise but clutch itself is fine
I'm told my clutch is still good by two different tuners, however, I only have to gently lift my clutch up by one millimetre in first gear and still begin to roll. I feel like the biting point should be much higher.
do you have flame map or no crackle/pop/flame map at all. Is it all natural?
Maxd crackle flamer map
what changes did you make?
what changes did you make?
Tony, what BOV are you running? Cheers
Forge motorsport recirculating BOV.
i always come back to this video and think of the first fast n furious where paul walker is driving the green eclipse and it tops out at 140 mph then goes into harrys and says he needs nos cos it topped out at 140 and here we are with our fiesta st's doing 160 mph. ruclips.net/video/opCaj2FK1l0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/ri7xl8cZ6AQ/видео.html
Good to see it still going
is ur car still running fine? what mileage is it on now?
Pretty mad to get 160 out of 1.6 wouldn't get no way near that 20 30 years ago
What exhaust setup is this? It sounds like a miltek, is it a non res / res / sports cars / decat
That was a Mountune car back and mountune sports cat
Who are you tuned by?
What intake is this running sounds mad
It’s an airtec induction kit
@@tonybrough5561 sounds mint 👍🏼
Looks so much fun :) Are you still on the stock PS4 tire size and suspension?
Yes stock 205/40 r17 PS4 tyres but not stock suspension anymore. Now running BC racing coilovers.
What exhaust is that mate?
Miltek non res race with decat
@@tonybrough5561 All the milltek clips with a decat sound proper, but I’m looking at a sports cat and they sound too quiet like stock! Cheers
Glad to see you're at 160k and still going strong! I'm trying to decide between the fiesta st vs focus st.
Fiesta pocket rockets , more sensation of speed too
Can't go wrong with either @@staffymc123
How s the engine working now?
162k 💪🏻
I installed the x47R in my volvo v40 T4 1.6T ford ecoboost engine... Same as fs st180... Any opinion on the whoosh hybrid turbo?
@@luisvera7490 I have the whoosh hybrid turbo. It's got about 40k miles. (probably more) Not 1 single issue from it.
@@georgevigil7001 what s ur setup for the turbo George? Fuel used? Ethanol? Torque and hp?
@@luisvera7490 Hi, right now I have a CPE intercooler, Catless DP, Side exit exhaust and thats it. Running 91. Currently like 237HP I believe. Not sure the TQ since I never checked. I also have an issue with the waste gate actuator not holding boost so the power numbers are low. I'll have that fixed next month and can report back since I will be getting it dyno'd after that. I'm also going to install a HPFP, injectors, Intake, cold and hot pipes and that should get some good power. Will be getting a 91 and a full e85 tune. (Since the injectors and HPFP will allow for it.
What fuel are u running? Stock turbo boost controller? 3 port turbo boost controller?
Using shell 99 vpower over here in the Uk which is the highest we can get. I think that converts to just over 93 pump fuel in the USA. stock boost solenoid
Yea the boost on that just kills everything... propa ripper
Thanks fella it definitely goes well that’s for sure. Not bad really considering I was on normal road tyres as well.
@@tonybrough5561 lol I bet u went and got some new ones after aswell... I done brands in a civic and the tyres didn't last too long lol kills the left side of the tyre big time on that track
Your Mrs Looks like she loves paddock Hill bend 🤣
@@richmills6911 wasn’t actually my misses. She’s a customer of mine from work who’s 63 😆 but yeah she loved every second of it. Tyres done really well actually hardly wore at all but they are Michelin PS4
Prepped surface? What tires? LSD? How are you putting the power down that fast? I'm only at 230hp and I get more wheelspin.
Just normal road surface on Michelin pilot sport 4 tyres not the S and no still on open diff. As for putting the power down I don’t know it just hooks really well with a little bit of throttle modulation on tack off
This is interesting, are you sure you are not able to do 100-200km faster. As i measured the time it took 100-200km/h it did it in about 10seconds flat. The colts can do 100-200km in 9.9 if you have 310hp and about 300ftlb in torque.
Not really tried to do many 100-200km runs think Iv tried 5 in total but best I got was 9.78s and that was at full weight Best 60-120mph runs Iv done are 8.72s and again at full weight. I’m more interested in how the car handles now so Iv been consecrating on that. Iv since strip the rear seats out so should really try a few more draggy runs to see how it’s performing
@@tonybrough5561 yeah 9.8 is about what the colts can do 100-200 at 310 full weight. The colts are lighter. I was actually thinking of a Fiesta ST Hybrid the X47R to put in my Colt. the engine on my colt is rebuild. Those turbos are developed really good. They have both low end power and top end power. There are not many hybrid options for the colt that are Good. The best gives 270hp to the crank and you increase lag so it reaches full spool at 4000rpm which is horible for only 270hp car. But ones it gets going it is fast.
@@tonybrough5561did you notice much acceleration gains from removing your rear seats? Did you take the spare out as well? In terms of biggest weight loss, I hear replacing seats with carbon fibre buckets makes a world of difference. The fronts are so heavy.
