What happened to this car ? Did you ever finish it ??
I like how you didn’t provide any detail information and only but crack shots thanks for nothing
Nice project. What year/model differential did you use? My ‘46 still has a torque tube and I need a newer system.
I have ford nine inch when I went to put bed back on the bed won't fit between the tires any ideas thought about putting spacers on hubs to make tires go out further.
sweet ride!
Wow. I didn't think you could get it this good. A few issues still, but what a labor of love. I hope you determine that you made a good deal and putting some money into it will give you a nice classic you can say you saved.
That oil looks like it has water in it.
About to go look at one give him the money amd bring it home
Had a 73 pinto wagon many years ago was a good family car for us but would of love having the v8 in it. Thought of building one many times.
Looks like it’s coming together nicely! Will an awesome driver!👍🏁
Gosto muito desses carros clássicos. Sou fã
Looking forward to seeing another update on this Lincoln! One thing that discouraged me from buying any 59-60 FoMoCo car was because of how rare the parts are. Especially for these Lincoln’s and Mercury’s. Almost bought a 60 Thunderbird last year, car sat for 35 years in a barn, very solid car, so I thought. The floors and subframe were completely rotten and gone.
1976 grill was a grid pattern
Looks good man, Looking forward to see the build as it progresses.
Suspension?
That is a hell of a lot of car. To bring it back to its former glory would be SWEET. Hope ypu have LOTS of patience, time and especially money if you wanna make it showroom condition.
What a beast.
Your doing great job from a lincoln owner 👏
Nice your clean this car
put your phone # and name inside of cap if it comes off
Looking forward to a new video on the 46! Have you made any progress on it lately? Such a cool build!
I also have a 60 mark v they are very Temperamental but stick with it it’s a fantastic car… The fuel system gave me many problems on mine… One problem is low fuel pump pressure but the pushrod wears down and doesn’t like the pump work properly
Nice video, nice car. But very annoying music. LOL
51 years since 1971.
Maybe this video was made in the fall 2021,looks like it, if so 50 yrs
Enjoyed watching your videos and how much work you put into this car. Love classic cars like this,my mom had a 1961 T-bird when i was growing up and I polished the chrome up when my dad brought it home used. My sister had a 1955 Buick Roadmaster that i cleaned up for her to go to college. My 1st car was a 1964 Galaxy 500, fun car. My dad owned a 1957 Ranchero & we also had a 1958 Mercury Montclair. Your lincoln brings back lots of good memories.. Good luck & enjoy..!!
I haven't seen this on the streets since I was a teenager!
...ESPECIALLY for a Michigan car...the overall condition is, in a word...amazing... ...all too often, these barn find cars were actually parked outside, next to the barn, under a tree, or abandoned in an open field... ...just a suggestion for the vinyl components, which will be rather dried out...the carnuba wax in regular furniture polish is just the thing to re-hydrate that vinyl...forget expensive products by Maguires, 303 and others.... ...let the transformation begin!!!
Man, that is in great shape! How many miles? So you answered a question or mine which was the engine. So it's a 430. I found one of these last Friday at a wrecking yard also in fair to good shape and it got my interest up in them, it showed only 43K miles. I love these old cars and would like to find something like what you did there. Here is my link in case anyone is interested> ruclips.net/video/bia4DWyTj0o/видео.html I'll cross link your video on my channel since it is the same subject and the car you found is even nicer!
Do you have extra parts . Sell???
I’m looking for a 1/2 ton 1946 chevy truck (project truck) Mario 224 217 2004. Thanks
Nice work! Any updates on a fuel tank install?
Can I get buy the old engine? mcolecioinc@ yahoo . Com thanks
You mean C-Notch not step notch.
Those old 289's are getting rare.
Remember when cars like this were plentiful? You found them everywhere....Now look. They're as rare as blue diamonds. What I wouldn't give to have a V8 Pinto or Vega. Ah, the good old days.
Clutch heads...got to love them.
Love your gauges. I put mine in the flat panel right above the cubby bin on the center console.
Would have been nice to focus on the engine swap!
Idles kind of high
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one single state operated peoples gas station per city. :-(
Well there’s still 9 years left to reverse that
By 2035 here in the US, all new automobiles will be hybrids or full electric. By 2050 all new vehicles will be full electric. The auto industry has made this decision, not our impotent government. They most likely won't ban old internal combustion cars from the roads, they'll let them disappear by attrition, which shouldn't take too long, since parts (and fuel) will be scarce and expensive.
@@brianhechinger6726 Time marches on. Get over it.
EF ANDMK nope
What a beautiful sound hearing that 430 roar to life! Loved the video. Great to see this old Lincoln being restored.
Always thought it would be cool to put a Pantara drivetrain in a Pinto Wagon, Lol!
For the strip clutch head screw. What I do is sand off the paint and rust. Take my MIG welder. Weld a nut to the head of the screw. and turn the screw out. Works awesome
The headlights can be ground down to fit the wings perfectly.
I have a 1960 base model that was my fathers. It does look a whole lot better when you are able to clean and polish it. The work you are doing reminds me of when I was a kid helping my dad work on his. Keep up the good work.
I can help if you need it.
Nothing is easy when it comes to these old cars. You're moving in a linear direction forward. No mention of gas tank and fuel delivery issues? Great work!
Fuel pump functions but the gas tank is unknown gonna be messing with that next
@@MistahNashThe 1960 lincoln im looking at has a hole through the floor through the top of the gas tank and thru the bottom 😂😭
It sure cleaned up nicely! Reminds me of cleaning, polishing and waxing my 1959 Lincoln that had been parked for 14 years when I found it in 2015.
Lincoln 1960 Premiere Landau Model 57B in I believe to be Code V Twilight Pink...Great Job you guys!
Damn!!!! 💚💚💚
I love these trucks, keep posting don't stop
