Yes, must be new ownership; the waiter was very pushy, reeling off specials etc, said the wine was from his grandfather’s estate? 🏡. You obviously experienced a different period, as none of that food was available.😊

We ate at Mikes place the night before last, and will never return. The food was truly dreadful, from a miniscule portion of squid, without lemon and dolmades that were very basic indeed.Then came the main courses, pork souvlaki, on a skewer with a vegetable mush of what I think was at one time an aubergine, 'roast' potatoes that were soggy, lukewarm and a few carrots. The other main was a beef stifado,... same sloppy presentation, lukewarm potatoes and mushy veggies. The hors d'oeuvres which we thought were complimentary, a bit of bread, yoghurt and beetroot was 3 euros, which we refused to pay for. The 14 euro bottle of wine was harsh and acidic. Basically 'school dinners' and lukewarm stew. However, just around the harbour is Pilos, we visited three times; the staff are charming, not as pushy as MIke's place, the carafe of house wine was excellent. The squid starter is enough for two, their pizza and calzone massive, the grilled octopus amazing, lamb kleftico with 'hot cheesy potatoes' lovely, and the huge whole 'dorado' perfection; the moussaka which came in a cauldron was also delicious, and my pork gyros incredible, came with fries, salad pitta and yoghurt. The service is cheerful, most professional and swift,..perhaps that's why it was busy. We would highly recommend this lovely estaurant which overlooks the sea and harbour wall. Would we return,......most definitely.

Nice video , only just discover coach trips last year I didnt realise they were still a thing , coach trips of the late 80s as a small child hot stuffy crazy patterned coaches have been replaced with luxury air con, reclining seats with access to a toilet . So nice to relax either watching the scenery go by or take that book that you've been meaning to read with you , a nice homemade ice coffee in the summer or a flask and some snacks with you . At £26 it's an affordable day out . Without the stresses of driving .

Their food is very delicious and so is the tenderloin steak, salmon salad and Aglio Olio… I really do like their Tomyum … I’ve been there and love the food, service and atmosphere!

I visited Sissi 4 years ago for 7 nights unfortunately we didnt find Mikes till the second night and ate there every day after. Proper Greek cooking and all home produced product, also the wine I always had the dish of the day absolutely beautiful Mike is a star and so proud of the crops he grows not to mention the rest of the family who are all keen to please deserves all the custom he gets and more.
