Great video, thanks for it! Let me give some physics behind the right arm trick: It is a lever. Description from the wiki: The lever is one of the six simple machines. Fulcrum is located between the effort and the resistance: The effort is applied on one side of the fulcrum and the resistance (or load) on the other side. In this case: Effort: right arm at the end of the guitar body, Fulcrum: the touching point of your body and the guitar body, Load: your pointing finger on the fretboard/string. The LONGER the distance between the right arm touching point and the fulcrum (your body and guitar body), the BIGGER the pushing force of your left hand pointing finger on the fretboard/string.

Why is it that so many people think they’re guitar teachers?

isnt the easiest way to play F is to use the C shape down one string so on the last four strings (also up one fret on the E string cos its tuned different)

Terrible Advice. If you learn bad information, it'll take you years to unlearn bad habits.

It isn't playing the F chord for me, it's transitioning from just about any othe rchord that isn't barred to an F chord.

Easier to play it but you're taking it out of tune by bending the neck
