Just bought LaVern's triple cd Complete singles 1949 to 1962 A's and B's. 71 tracks! Instantly became one of my most treasured cd's..Lavern is one of my absolute favourite artists. The end of her life was incredibly sad, but she was an indominatable spirit to the end. RIP LaVern.

Anders Janes actually wrote this song about myself. In the 90's I had some small problems with a gang of bikers who were trying to muscle in on my DJ clubs in London. I told Anders about them. This was his song.

Agreed. Being a musician in the same situation occaisionally, the reaction is to intrinsically make it your own. Someone hands it to you as this rudimentary pile of calculated garbage, you go over the top technically to make it some how respectible, and then you can't rid yourself of it.
