Australia used to make their own bulk hoppers, sadly they all come from China now, glad you liked the walk.

The UGL-CIMIC finish looks a lot better than the CRRC-Meishan, also note the use of either Huck Bolts or heavy-duty rivets too, something never used in Australia when we made our own hoppers.

The whole main western line riddled with speed restrictions, joke really, ARTC get away with it too, 40KMh at Bogan Gate been there for months and another 60KMh at Gunningbland West, plus 40KMh popped up at Condobolin near the station.

Have a three litre milk bottle with water in the back of the vehicle, it has seen plenty of use Louis in the past six weeks, heat has been shocking on some days. Hot and windy at Micabil, lucky I knew what time it was coming through so no time wasted at Micabil. Some days I cannot be bothered going out to video due to the heat. Couple of days of 43deg the other week.

C508 received an overhaul after its Lithgow workings.

Glad it appeared on time, bloody hot there and was glad to leave the site. Meat ants were everywhere, had to Aeroguard my boots.

@@australiantrains8988 It even looks hot. We just got back from videoing the XPTs at Illabo and it was very warm even in the shade. I wasn't going to go out today but XP2013 looks brand new after big her tidy up & I wanted to see her without the "Starlight" decal that she no longer wears. Shame 13 was trailing as XP2017 leading looked atrocious with all its grime & the missing panel on the front! Talk about beauty & the beast! haha

Very hot and windy there and the Meat Ants are all over you when you stand still, worth it though.

Could hear the pair coming about two minutes before they arrived, thankful they were on time as it was very hot and windy at Micabil. Paint on both in great condition, so they may leave them and just put "SSR" on the sides, costs money to paint them!

I was actually talking to Graeme Hitchick in front of his Landcruiser, Graeme used to own "Monomie Downs" but sold it off, "got too much for me" he says. Graeme is quite a character.

Since that clip the new high speed rail grain loader has been installed, old Grain Siding lifted and removed, new extended siding laid but no ballasted and aligned as yet. Australians are renowned for shifting around eh Graeme?

Thanks Graeme, since that video the speed has dropped from 60KMh to 40KMh due to a mud squirt just near the bridge. Usually time it for when we come into to town for the weekly shop.

Last week was told that a Chinese "delegation" from CRRC Meishan were at Manildra for a few days with Manildra Group management over the issue, they are still leaking the MGHH's but gradually getting on top of it. The "huck bolt" MGIH's are OK though, no issues.
