Just gotta say, watching this 3 months late. I find the constant “this boss sucks” and “this boss doesn’t suck” and “you’re wrong” to be idiotic. Fact is, I fought the boss solo without a shield using the Gaius lance and I enjoyed it. But it’s just my opinion that the boss is good, and each person is entitled to their opinion. While I can see why people hate it, I personally don’t. That’s my say, and nobody can say it is wrong, because it is my view. Why on earth is every game community I’m a part of bent on verbally destroying each other? :( (Also good video, by the way, helped me do my int run and finally move on to my dex run)

Become a master crafter and sell your services to others that need gear made, you can also farm infinite archive for archival fortunes and buy provisioning bags for 2000 ea you have the chance to get gold provisioning materials like perfect roe aetherial dust diminished aetherial dust ruby blossom extract and a few others that are worth alot of gold but that requires good rng 😂

most poorly designed boss fight in a video game ive ever witnessed, bro is completely unpredictable and my camera is in the floor or a wall 98% of the time, some attacks are extremely delayed while some are fast as lighting, there is smoke everywhere so i cant see, that burrow attack will dmg you mid roll, im getting hit and poisoned by goo that isnt even close to touching my character and have no souls to buy potions, its like they saw the bed of chaos and said "we need one of those"

Other than the prep items, this guide kinda stinks. In phase two, staying close in the most consistent way to avoid all the blood splatters from his spear.

I tried all this but the one I'm fighting his moves set is way different to the moves he's doing on your video everything is all in different order to yours as well I don't know how to defeat him he keeps changing his moves

I just beat this guy on NG+. My p-organ had pretty much no guard upgrades but all health flasks and legion, plus 4 amulet slots. I only respecced the arm to fully upgrade Aegis, this was the first time I ever used that arm but it made the whole fight really easy. With my amount of legion I was able to keep the Aegis shield up for most of the fight and hacked away at the boss with the electric coil stick and the puppet ripper. I didn't even need the grindstone. Amulets for more stamina and faster stamina regen were a life saver. The only attacks I really had to dodge were the red sword attacks in phase 2 where he leaves a trail that explodes. Great guides, keep up the good work!

This boss, in my opinion, leaves a massive stain on what is otherwise a good game. To lock a good ending behind such an unnecessarily-difficult fight was a bad choice. The issue with them not balancing/nerfing this boss more is it really does send the wrong message to people about any future games. If they fail to understand why this boss needs an update, then I’m not confident that they will learn from their mistakes and make better choices in future games. It makes me want to skip over anything else they do and stick with FromSoftware. No one thinks tedious, overly-difficult garbage like the Nameless Puppet is fun. There is a reason why FromSoftware hasn’t made a boss like this; because they actually understand the damn Souls formula and how to balance it.
