FIRST SOLO! KDWH -Piper Warrior

I have not posted many videos lately because I started fly training in September 2020 and a few days ago I was endorsed to fly my first SOLO! Amazing experience! I was able to record the flight. Completed 3 patterns around the airport to Rwy 17R. It was a quiet afternoon with not a lot of traffic and calm wind. Perfect setting for a solo. Enjoy the video!

Runway cafe is a great spot for aviation enthusiasts. Located in the Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport you can get great views of GA airplanes landing and taking off. The runway is big and in the restaurant there's even pictures of C-130 that sometimes visit this airport. People at runway cafe are super nice and friendly. We were granted press access to the ramp to capture the event from the inside. We were able to record the crews preparing the aircraft for take-off and also witnessed taxi and take-off up close. enjoy the video. I have seen the Lufthansa 747 and the New Zealand 777 out there. I think the flights from New Zealand have been suspended due to COVID. I'd love to fly on a747.

Wow! So long, but great catches on the United new liveries! I went on FR24 (Flightradar24) today and saw a United new livery 777 coming in from DEN to IAH, I'm wondering if that's the same aircraft you caught at 46:32. Bit confused with the international arrivals like that cool EXPO 2020 Emirates A380 you saw there, didn't they stop flying to IAH? Liked the video!

Awesome catches on both the old livery & new livery on the United 787! I've never seen the new United livery on the 787, but I was able to catch the old United 787 on my landing at IAH. I can't decide what my favorite livery would be, they're both fabulous!
I was lucky that day. I was also my first time seeing the 777 in the new livery. Even saw an airbus with the retro livery and the all blaco Air New Zealand. I'm preparing that video... Coming soon!

Yes, that's the spot. I love that location. The only bad thing are those trees right in front of it. The place seems to have contruction going on some days, but it was open that day. Always make sure to contact airport ops if planning to go there.

Thank you! Sadly, I don't think it'll be back anytime soon. Last I saw, Lufthansa even has it's entire A380 fleet grounded for now. :(
