Hi Everyone
My name is Daniel Smart (Danny) I'm 48 and i write and record my own music. Due to a few hiccups in life in general i have had to take a 20 year hiatus from doing what i love which is playing the guitar and writing songs. Only recently have i managed to now find the time to start writing again. I have since come across my old recordings both with my old band and alone. I used to record using fostex 4 and 8 track recorders and i cant believe how much has changed since then. It used to cost an arm and a leg to buy anything that would remotely aid you to record anything at home but it was just possible and the equipment was very simple to use,. It seems like nowadays its very cheap on the whole to find equipment that can give amazing results but with that comes a very steep learning curve and one that i am slowly adjusting to. I'm hoping to share both new and old music on this channel and i hope to find like minded collaborators or just entertain you all.

Recorded on Mars was at Robbie Moore's studio on Osborn Street at the bottom of East London's Brick lane, This studio was previously called SARM east and owned by Trevor Horn. Rumour has it that the likes of Madonna and the Clash recorded here as well as parts of Bohemian Rhapsody. Robbie did the sessions together with Tim Hamper who was head of the sound at KOKO he knew Mark Smith who was Alan...
Nothing In The Offing -- The Life And Times Of Patrick Joseph Balfe.
Просмотров 4135 месяцев назад
Patrick Joseph Balfe is a musician from Portsmouth who took the indie scene by storm in the late 2000's. A serious contender to snatch the crown from the then 'King' of the Indie Scene, Peter Doherty but were there just too many similarities? A musician that recorded stunning tracks in a bedroom setting never really venturing into studios. Patrick usually played every instrument on his tracks a...

DOGS: LIVE ON CHANNEL M (REMASTERED)
Liked and subscribed from New Zealand. Looking at a closet natural with case for 600NZD. That's 270 Quid. Thanks for the timely post.
@frankiegoestoponsonby4741 that's a great price and I too like the natural but they seem rarer than the others. Red is definately the most common. Ebony is hard to find too
You have your pickups backwards. The pole screws are supposed to be closest to the neck and closest to the bridge.
Apperently this guy got a miracle guitar or paid a shop a bundle to get it playing right..If the MF would get to the point and wuit rambling on we might find out. This is 18 minutes long. Life is too short to listen to his babbling
If it has too much new string grind in the tone and won't go dead in a month put silk & steel on it
Well eiphone mastrbuilt is in china..I never bought one of these fakes..Looking at the Martin mexican ..no thanks ..keep'em. even a USA Martin mahogany dreadnought was a turn off for the money..This guitar in the video looks like phenomenal workmanship..If I thought I could get that lucky for $330..Iveould do it..But a lot of money forba lemon you'll leave at a dumpster or give away. To get it out of your way.. I want reviews from experienced players. They either play good or they don't..NO ONE THESE DAYS KNOW MUCH OF ANYTHING. GARBAGE CARS FROM DETROIT...IDIOTS DON'T BNEED CHIP KEYS AND COMPUTERS IN THE CAR.. IT'S A PITIFUL WORLD FULL OF MORONS LED BY THE NOSE .
That isn't a photo of a 60s series... 60s series have silver top knobs.
Is the junior and baldwins bridges sizes different could i just switch them out? If not could i get some links for some good bridges in the gold tint currently rebuilding mine
No way would I switch Pro buckers for Gibson burst buckers...ProBucker Pickups by Epiphone The PAF humbucking pickup was key to Les Paul’s early success. With their fat sound and clear response, Patent Applied For humbuckers were the first of their kind to reach mainstream use, defining the sound of a generation with their fat tone and clear response. Since the price of vintage PAFs has skyrocketed, Epiphone set out to create their own pickup in the style of a vintage PAF. It was at this point that the ProBucker humbucking pickup was born. These pickups are designed in the same way as the original PAF pickups in order to deliver rich, overwound tones with incredible clarity. There is no doubt that you will be instantly able to recognize Les Paul’s signature punch as soon as you plug it in.
Want.
@@75YBA you won't regret getting g one i can assure you 💯 😉
Great review! Thanks for sharing! Question: with the coil tap engaged and in the middle position is it noise cancelling or do you get some hum?
@BrianR-ih1rq I'm.not sure if it's noise cancelling but I got no hum at all. It's a lovely guitar 👍
listening on a laptop and through certain amps and rooms/environment, no one can tell the diff. You almost need to be in the room, or just rely on what the player is telling you. My thing is, which one is the hotter as far and output? Also as far as that goes, I read/watch a lot of players talk about how sometimes a low output pickup sounds better that a high one. and of course, you can always used a pedal and lower the gain on the amp.
still Have my ivory 1981 bullet deluxe since new in 81 my body is plywood and rosewood neck with no made in usa logo and e1 serial fender hardshell case has made in usa on it
we missed you!
Thanks ! I just got an 85 korean black with black closed coil pickups. i am assuming a japanese neck because it is amazing. I refretted it and redid the radius. i got the gotoh fender labled tuners I cant wait to get it back together ! This was a great video thanks ! I got mine free . I think it got run over by a car .. it literally had tire tracks on it andthe body had cracks in it but i glued it back together. It is sanded and ready for paint. should i do black again ? maybe ill just do natural
Great video !!!
I have a Chibson LP, after the bridge pickup upgrade it destroys the Epiphone I had a few years back
Acoustic Set - allegedly supporting The Rifles at Pioneer Club - St Albans - Feb 2025
I was obsessed by this album back in 2005 - 2007, have just rediscovered it, and it stands up 16+ years later. It's pretty much a masterpiece of it's genre. Criminally overlooked, a victim of major label parasitic greed. If I had written 'Selfish Ways', 'Donkey' and 'End of an Era' I would die happy.
Sensational news! Tickets procured for Margate.... fingers crossed we get some more dates🤞🤞🤞🤞
In for Margate!
Don’t tease. Johnny touring the debut album 20 years on?
they both sound very similar but you have to make the same connecting scheme for them all to make the comparison clear
Hi ! I have an epiphone with probucker 2 and 3 and I don't understand why you remove the original sheath to connect the ground and the bare wire?
Great video and great playing for a comparison! I liked the "high fidelity" sound of the Probuckers best myself. The Burstbuckers sounded flatter, and more even across the spectrum to my ears. I guessed wrong at the beginning, thinking the higher treble and more bass of the Probucker was the Gibson with the Burstbuckers. By the 3rd comparison I knew which was which though.
Great video. About your theory of Japan necks on Korean assembled guitars.; There are 2 features on the E6 and some late 85 E5 serial models other than the lack of country of origin on the front, that identify them as being actual Korean made necks. First, the truss rod adjustment moved to the headstock although some early models were still at the heel. The defining feature though, is the spacing of the dots at the 12th fret . All Korean guitars in the 80's have a wider spacing than a MIJ neck. The dots are also slightly smaller. In addition, the E6 necks have a much slimmer profile than the Japanese models especially on the Contemporary models, which is also the case on the E7/E10 standard Strats made by Young Chang. Also, the later 85 Bullet bodies switched to plywood (laminate). I guess it's possible that there was some Japanese training involved in late 85 but there are subtle differences in the construction.
Thanks for that information. Its hard to find out about some of the details for these guitars which is why i put this video together. Thank you
Bet they'd be even closer if you took the covers off the Probuckers
I like the 490’s. They sounded smooth. The Epiphones sounded good, but higher mids, less refined, just not as good as the Gibson.
Blimey
Great album. They deserved to make it
I like both, the difference is very small. I've swapped the cheap PUs of my Chibson Custom LP to Probuckers 2 & 3, it's a big sound improvement, i looove the PBs!
Awesome!!
I have one. Marvelous clean tones. Great amp.
Also, I forgot to mention. Great video
I thought the Epiphone sounded clearer.
Ok, I'm convinced. I am getting this beauty. Thanks for the review
If all things are indeed equal (which I admit to doubting), the Gibson PU's were more muddy in each case of the "clean" tests. I must add though that both neck PU's seemed a bit too muddy to me anyway. I don't care about the dirty sound, so I didn't listen past the "clean" examples.
I’m really quite moved by this documentary As a good long term friend of Patrick’s , I am amazed at the songs I haven’t heard :)))) and a few cds worth to be made …. Love you Patrick xxx
Ok, I am deaf enough to be happy with just an Epiphone. Every time I chose wrong 😅 Good news, I'll save a lot of money
