A Quick 2 Year Update On The 75 Gallon
How fast time goes. I can not believe it’s almost been 2 years since I filled it with water. It’s been nice watching all the plants and fish grow and see how it’s developed over time. I rewatched the video on the setup and it’s crazy how empty it looked when I set it up, but the plants filled it up nicely overtime. I think I’m going to add some more wood and rock in the near future so be on the look out for that video. I thought maybe some people might be interested in how the aquariums are coming along, and how the baby cichlids are doing. 55 Gallon Aquarium Aquascape for my yellow lab cichlids
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.Год назад
This is a my new setup for my yellow lab cichlids. I bought them when they were pretty little, so i had them in a smaller aquarium while they got bigger. Now they need a bigger space and I would like to get more. I will look into better filtration in the future as I get more of them, but this should work for now. I’m excited for them to have a larger space to dig around in the sand and make it ...

I took a trip to the pet store to buy some stuff and thought I might try bringing you all along, trying to change it up a bit. Sadly they l had just got fish and were medicating all the tanks, so there was not much to see. other then that most petsmart or petco depending where you live are mostly the same. Also in this video a couple updates on some future projects. I will make another video tr...
4ft Cichlid Aquarium Aquascape 5 Month update, New Light, Plants, and small Hardscape change up.
Просмотров 105Год назад
The Cichlids are getting pretty big, and I wanted to give them a better place to hide. I would have liked to have 2 lights from the beginning, but couldn’t afford both when I set up the aquascape. I purchased a new NICREW RGB W light, some new plants, and some more dragon stone. And I couldn’t wait to get the light setup and the stones and plants in. Thank you to everyone who Watches, Likes, an...

Get some yoyo loach. They will keep the snail population in check
I might have to try to find one and give that a try. Thank you.
Great looking aquarium..👍👍
Thank you, much appreciated.
oho, a lot of snails, those are blader snails? arent they clog all arrounf with their eggs? nice aquarium, congrats
Thank you, much appreciated. They are rams horn snails, and they are everywhere. I usually clean a bunch out every time I trim the plants. I’ve tried feeding less and what not but they are relentless.
Maybe try a couple of assassin snails. Nice looking aquarium. Good luck
Thank you, much appreciated. I’ve thought about the assassin snail, but I’m worried I might end up with an aquarium full of them after they take care of the rams horns.
Your the MR ROGERS of AQUARIUMS.
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. Thanks for watching
I am using the same tank but I still have the built-in filter on the side. How did you remove yours? Planning to remove mine as well as I am planning to add a new HOB filter. Thank you.
I used a sharp knife with a thin blade like a box cutter and cut it out. I warmed up the blade a bit and that made it a little easier. I was a little worried about it sealing because I cut some of the silicone. So I got some aquarium safe silicone and applied some to those sides. It makes it so much better, hope it goes well for ya.

It's a nice looking tank! My donated val is finally rooting and trying to grow after melting from being in a different tank
Thank you. It’s funny how some plants transition so much better then others. Val usually takes a bit to get going, but once it does it can sure fill an aquarium quick. Such a nice plant, hope it grows good for you.
Cool! How much did it cost?
It’s been a while since I put it together but around $150 - $200. Prices do vary on stuff depending where you live.
You know they’re going to poop all over that sand & dig etc right? I tried sand but it showed every piece of snail, fish & shrimp poop + it grows diatom algae really well & every critter moved it around… plus my plants didn’t do well in it. I’ll stick with natural river pebbles. Better for the critters & doesn’t show off all their poop & detritus lol I don’t want my tank to be my art project- just a nice home for my critters
It will never look perfect forever that’s for sure, but it’s nice to see it change and become their home. Everyone likes something different.
@@chasedriver1720 very true- my husband loves the look of sand. So he used it & his tank has brown algae all over it but he’s only got anubias & java fern in his. I do like how it looks I just couldn’t get anything to grow in it & it gets dirty so quickly… I need to get him a nerite snail- for some reason the bladder & trumpet snails aren’t cleaning up any of his diatom algae… I finally took the magnetic glass cleaner out of my tank & used it on his lol much better now
What are the two little ferny type of plants in the front middle of tank???
Pogostemon erectus
How does this video have 8000 likes on 400 views?
When I look at it there is only 9 likes. 8000 would be nice though, maybe one day. Have a good day
@@chasedriver1720 cool, I thought maybe it had been listed as private for awhile or something. No big deal, just curious. 🙂👍
That’s some impressive growth on Limnophila sessiliflora
Thank you, it grows like weeds I’ve had to trim it down so many times. One of the reasons I like it.
Beautiful Tank
Thank you.
Nice job!
Thank you.
How much do you pay for fluval in your country? Say for a fx4
I seen it onsale right now for $412, usually $529. I just bought a Fluval FX2 for just over $300 onsale the other day.
Very nice aquarium, buddy 👍👍
Thank you.
Is that a goldfish with cichlids? That’s pretty cool! Nobody’s fighting or anything ! Nice set up
Yup it is a goldfish, they have all lived together since they were pretty little. Thank you.
