In reference to your last discussion about mother's and community... My mother was steeped in God the dominating , angry , abusive father . I cared for her when she was dying of bone cancer . She was beside herself because I am a pagan who's primary archetype for spirit is a goddess . One day she was railing at me about my father being the reason my spirituality was what it was . I looked at her and said " I don't worship a goddess because I'm afraid of my father . I worship a goddess because I am in desperate need of a mother . " although it wasn't my intention , that statement hit her with such force you could feel it vibrating in the silence afterward. . After her death I became a mother to an adopted child . The archetype of the ancient mother has been my guide for 18 years with him . I have found a wellspring of wisdom in myself that I had been completely unaware of .

Sophie is food for my mind , body and spirit . I'm 54 , panic disorder , abuse history , artist , poet , wife , mother ... I've been ruthlessly shamed by a trauma therapist because , as she said , I was holding on to the trauma . She felt I should be healed within a three month period . That made me suicidal . The ideas that Sophie puts forth allow me to find wholeness , purpose and joy right where I am . She has pollinated my process ! 🌻
