Installing fiber (wheat straw) wattles on slopes at a construction site north of Boise Idaho. The wattles are installed horizontal to break up flows of runoff from creating rills on the slope surface. That is what we were asked to do. It was about 3 years ago, I wonder what it looks like now?
After spreading seed, what is the green stuff called. Is it to help germinate the seeds and to hold the seed in place?
it is a mixture of mulch and a glue. it holds together in the rain and keeps the seed and in place so it can germinate. The color is just for the operator to see where they are spraying.
