Remote control with “Virtual buttons” on the DM48X MIDI controller harmonica
Ever wished the Lekholm DM48X Digital Chromatic Harmonica had more buttons for remotely controlling things when you play?
With “Virtual buttons” - introduced in the v1.20 firmware - all twelve holes can be used as “keys” that send MIDI control change messages, which may be assigned to essentially anything in your DAW or in software instruments.
This considerably expands the remote control capabilities without additional hardware. And it works over Bluetooth, too, of course!
This demo uses the AUM app on iOS, together with a few software instruments.

Spontaneous jam at NAMM 2020 featuring Andy Wilson (here playing the DM48 Digital Chromatic Harmonica for the first time) and Jason Keene. Andy plays the SWAM Flute virtual instrument, and his playing was recorded as a MIDI track. Jason is using a Yamaha VL70m, captured by miking his amp.
