With the kind of torque that engine would likely have, you could run a 25" pitch 30" prop and make the island in four revolutions of the crankshaft LOL.

A Packard motor, that would be nice! Just got a 67? 250 PMD OHC motor I'm going to put in my 74 runabout. I know where an old boat was found abandoned in a boat house, which they sadly burned :(

HI Everyone. Rob Gerigs The Boat Builder here. I was the man who did the restoration on this gorgeous boat. I was in the employ of Tom at the time and now I'm the owner of this shop and still doing incredible restorations. I had a lot of joy in crafting the insane amount of wood that went into her. Blood Sweat and Tears as they say. Tears of joy though. I was actually sad to see her leave, but she's back where she belongs, in the water. I have a ton of stories about the restoration if anyone's interested. We're thinking of doing a RUclips series on the process from start to finish in retrospect. Everyone hears about her history but no one gets to see and hear about the physical task of rebuilding her board by board, rib by rib and frame by frame. Keep an eye out for my RUclips channel to see us in action and some of the work we've done. We're in the process of adding a tremendous amount of boats I've built and restored, so it's constantly being worked on. RUclips, Instagram/Facebook all under.... muskokaboatbuilder. Best wishes to everyone and stop in if your in my neck of the woods. Rob.

That boat looks very weird. It's to long and narrow. But the work that went into this boat is absolutely beautiful. But not the boat for me. I'd be a nervous wreck seeing that crane lifting it 40 feet in the air. I'd be ready to shoot someone

good viewing for a good old salty like me as i liked classic boat all my life was on a classic boats as i really liked them as they are really good boats as these was very historic these wooden boats are the best of craftmanship as i see thiswas the case as all old salts willbe happy to own these boats like me as i liked the older boats as they are far more better then the newer boats of now as these was really easy to fix and restore in future as newer boat in future willbe needing all the electronic replaces and the engines was are more complex to rebuild and service too that's why i liked the older boat for this reason now as these was far better to own in future the reason for this was the nwer boats willbe harder torestore in future that's was my views on the boats of now

And THANK YOU for the tour. My father had a 22 foot cris craft spees boat . I was very young at the time, but I do remember it had a 6 cylender GRAY marine motor (flat head) with twin up draft carbs. He sold it a little bit before he dier, and that was in June of 1961. I think the boat was made in 1949? CHEERS.

Thank you for sharing the video. I am thinking about buying an old Chris Craft runabout or similar. Something with two cockpits inside of 18'. I mean to buy a project as well. It is nice to see videos like yours to see what other people are doing. I have done a fair amount of woodworking with other things. Whenever I get marks from the orbital sander I kind of like them. They are tooling marks. I wonder if you could less marks with a vibrating palm sander. I have to say that I don't see any marks in the stain. I think it looks a lot like a boat. Great job.
