What I love is how Starrk IMMEDIATELY recognized how much of a threat Yamamoto is and is suprised, even by this limited showing of power. Considering how Halibel said “You’re next” to Yamamoto after she thought she defeated Toshiro, and Barragan would most likely assume flames can age and be overconfident. The only ones on that battlefield who recognized how truly screwed they’d be if Yamamoto started fighting was Aizen, Tosen, Gin and Starrk.
wouldnt say that Starrk freaked out when he saw Tenso Jurin but not when Soi Fons bankai went off. So what? Tenso Jurin which cant even hurt Halibel causes him to freak out but not Soi Fons bankai which can actually cause major injuries to an Espada but also freaks out to Yamamotos shikai technique. and when its time to compare Bankai Starrk compares HItsugayas bankai instead of Soi Fons even though his is less impressive damage wise
If Yammamoto keeps his eyes closed, it means thing are going as intended and he is content to just let the plan play out, while merely keeping track via reiatsu sense ("seen this before and already did my job"). If he opens one eye, it means something is worth his attention ("Some adjustments are needed"). Two eyes open means he is either angry (Kyoraku and Ukitake's "betrayal" during Rukia's rescue), surprised (Wanderweiss breaking through Ennetsu Jigoku) or if the situation is critical (having to pause casting Ennetsu Jigoku to save multiple lieutenants from Ayon), its the same as saying "Now you have my undivided attention". He opened one eye to recognize that Aizen, Tosen and Gin needed to be separated from the main force so they would have a chance of jumping them together in the climax of the battle. Then he closed his eye as he used Jokkaku Enjo, all according to plan. Finally, he opened both eyes after trapping them because, as Kyoraku correctly guessed, he was still furious at Aizen for his betrayal.
Stark notices that this is simply a defense release but the amount of pressure he exerted literally in Manga brought Harri and himself short of breath and barely able to remain in flash
Nah, Aizen wouldn't be one shot by that and he would likely use Danku against a direct hit. He was wagering the amount of power expended and damage taken to break free wouldn't be worth it to Aizen. The problem is that if he used Bankai, he stood a good chance of destroying Fake Karakura Town from simply activating Zanjitsu Gokui. His bankai is too destructive for the constraints of this battle, so he took the best tactical choice: isolate the biggest threats, defeat everyone else and then collectively jump the las 3. If all else fails, one shot via the mutually assured destruction of Ennetsu Jigoku.
Barragan probably thought heat is subject to being dispersed by entropy / "aging", Harribel probably imagined being a water user makes her a good matchup against Yammammoto. Only Stark had a clue on how horribly outclassed they were.

If Yamamoto released bankai here and went straight for Aizen, fight end in one shot, because Wondaweiss is not in first wave of arrancar.
