He definitely turned better for himself he always thought that he doing is right griffith saved him that's why guts always stay behind griffth but he knew if he stayed with him all his life then his life will become worthless "you live for someone who saved your life and you returned the favor" that's what guts did to griffith when he leaved the hawk band but the worst part is that person betrayed him killed his friends ra*ped his gf what are you expecting for him after all this? But a show/manga lacks much depth without any growth, if he stays the same then there is almost no story. Casca serves as an objection to his ruthless nature because he realises that spending all his time trying to kill an unkillable god is more damaging than helpful. This is aided by hid crew with Farnese, serpico, Isidro, puck and the witch(I forgot her name💀). it’s all well and good for guts to have his berserk revenge character arc but it shouldn’t take up the whole story…
