i’ve spotted 390122 at crewe heritage
This is because of the Formby flooding that all trains terminated at HR.
That is one of the fastest trains I know 🚄
It’s on one of my big 3 operators I wanna go on: TPE, Northern and Chiltern Railways! (Honourable mention to Merseyrail)

There's a yard behind Arnside station which used to be a siding. Apparently (maybe 1950s/60s) the Queen once slept there in the Royal train on her way somewhere, probably Barrow I should think.

@@exploringallukstations2022 There used to be another line coming into the viaduct at Arnside Station as well. I think it was mostly used for bringing coal from the North East, through Carlisle and on to Barrow for the ships there. You can walk parts of it, and if you stand on the hump-back bridge outside the entrance for Dallam Tower Estate (B5282 between Arnside and Milnthorpe) you can see on the left the abrupt ending of the rail embankment. There used to be another (quite large) wooden viaduct for that line over the River Bela, then it headed up to Oxenholme I think. I have an old postcard of that wooden viaduct somewhere in storage. If I ever find it I'll let you know. Good luck with your adventures. 🙂
