Richard Williams was Freelance Camera Man as the coal workers walked out in opposition to Margaret Thatcher's government's program of pit closures, and followed the 1984-85 Miners' Strike. Amanda Powell was starting her career as a junior reporter on a local newspaper during the same period, and the two worked together on some of the events unfolding. This book recall those events.

Why don't sit you sit down with MPP over a beer and thrash it out. Then both of you make a joint updated doco of what's what. Or is this about societal funding to keep archaeologists in a job etc therefore they need to be right at all costs. Surely there's still enough remaining truth to uncover to keep them busy without lying about rocks if that's what's happening? And it’s hard believe she’s the same person as she was back in the 1970s when she was singing and her appearance.
And she and such a sauciness about her too And when she’s speaking she sounds completely different to her singing voice It’s hard to believe her voice is singing them And she’s sound so fluent and very well spoken and such a calm pleasant voice too like an ambience.
I'm in Providence and we used to hit clubs in Boston, the local deejay, Disco Vinny would close out his program at 2am with "bye love" by 5000 Voltz...a Disco anthem

Great to see this,, I live in Israel now but I was born in Cardiff in 1940. My father Moses Samuel was a teacher in Herbert Thomson school but taught in Cathedral Road synagogue 4 times a week. I and my two sisters also taught in Cheder from the age of 15. There was a Succah and a hall with a stage. We also went to Habonim in the hall on Sunday afternoons. Sooo many memories.
Dad also rode on his bike to Newport to teach in a cheder!

Hi Brenda, like you, I am an Israeli with Jewish-Welsh heritage. My mother was born in Wales in the early 1940s and her parents were also born in Wales. My Welsh ancestors were a mix of very assimilated, non-religious Jews and Protestants but where any of them originated is anybody's guess. My mom told me that she's never in her life met a person with her last name-not until I found a rabbi in the US with our exact name. He also had a Welsh background! My mother's family left Wales after WW2 and now live in Australia, USA and England. Take Care
