DEFINITELY CHANGE THE BASE OF THE MIRRORS WITH THE IS300 BASE. Still waiting on fuel line parts so in the meantime I had these since February last year. Let put them on.... hope this helped someone trying to install these. Like, comment, subscribe and share. Thanks

specs on the turbo to get to that hp? what ecu you running? just subbed sick is300
My turbo is 7675. But you can get that with a smaller turbo. I’m going for 1k just have get rid of my exhaust setup.
if im not mistaken with the link ecu you can program the down or upshift button on the steering wheel to activate anti lag
You can do it with any standalone. Just gotta runs the wires. I wanted the red button. In mounted right under my radio
Seems like way to big of a turbo for that power level . Lots of lag for no reason. A 6466 would’ve been a better fit. Shit even a 6266 will get you into the mid 700s with much better low end torque figures
Correct. I blew my 6466 PE. So I got this one. Planning on aiming for 1k. Just need to upgrade my exhaust setup. I have the fuel and turbo to get more power. Back pressure was holding me back in this video

That's more power than that car needs. You need a good wing to keep that rear end down unless you're drifting.
Mine made around 1300whp running out of fuel on the hellcat pumps & the external last time we were on the dyno on the last setup & does just fine without a wing & my car is nowhere near a drift car. Turning it up with more fuel before next season start & we still won’t need a wing 😊
Nah. The wing is a Altezza wing. It’s only on because I have the full OEM Toyota Altezza kit. I know people with way more power with no wing

I heard is300 are a pain to build when it comes to all the electronic stuff. Something about having 2 computers? Was it hard to get it running?
It depends on how you go about it, the IS300 has alot of functions done through a canbus system thats tied in to the ECU. So most people run a boomslang harness with a standalone and the factory ecu to retain those specific canbus options.
If a person is cheap about it then yes. It can be an electrical nightmare. If you get a harness made and go full standalone the stock ecu runs the basic body functions and the aftermarket ecu runs the engine. I’ve had no problems electrically it’s been 4+ years on this build

The extra wires? If that’s what you mean I didn’t use them.

You’re right. Lol. I think back then all I did was chop off the muffler and added an eBay muffler with tips.

Had to be an eBay muffler. Back then I use to get everything off of eBay.
Did you needed to change the inside of the jdm to the usdm mirrors or you used jus jdm mirrors?
Needed to change the brackets that hold the mirrors to the car. Take off the JDM one and use your USDM ones or your angle looking at the mirror will be completely off

@@srtwil9386 bro thanks so much every other video made it look like you need it to have a professional install or wouldn’t show any if the wiring . I just got done the hardest part was to fish the wire thru the doors but almost like a stereo install when it comes to wiring. Bought them yesterday and I thought it would be months before install. for the power folding switch green and reg green which one did you tap the blue and green did you tap the blue that you teed connect pass and driver side wire into the red-green or green so basically im askinh if you connect the blue into red green and green goes to green OR blue goes to green green goes to red green

Hey bro - this video is so clutch. I have a 2001 and all other DIY guides were for the 02+ . I had a quick question though - how many wires were on your JDM mirrors? Five? Can you send or upload that soundless video of your install?
Yes it has 5. 3 to adjust the mirrors and 2 for the power folding.
@@srtwil9386 Thanks for the clarification. The JDM mirrors I have has 7 total (Brown, Purple, Red, Green, Green/Red and two black wires), that's why I am asking. Another clarification- from the JDM Switch, you connected the GREEN and GREEN/RED wires to the BLUE and GREEN wires coming from the mirrors. Did you connect GREEN to GREEN and GREEN/RED to BLUE? i.e. GREEN (JDM Switch) to GREEN (JDM Mirror) GREEN/RED (JDM Switch) to BLUE (JDM Mirror)
@@markeezy51 yours have anti-fog I’m pretty sure that’s what the 2 blacks are for. Just color match them and the last 2 will be for the folding and unfolding.
@@markeezy51 green to green... green/red to blue. Just make sure you connect it the same way to the other side. Or you will have one side wanting to fold and one side wanting to open.

salvador cuellar it’s a square box on the side of the pipes near the rear. Almost lined up with where the rear rim starts from front to back

sorry one more question, i saw that you had your ‘flaps’ removed, was that because they were rattling? i just got mine installed today and definitely notice a rattle sound at start up. trying to figure out what it is but my guess is those valves. thank you!
banana RN oh yeah that rattle is insane.. at first I didn’t take them out.. I made a u-turn n went right back to get them off.
that’s what i should’ve done but didn’t notice it at first i was too excited :-) but it is freaking loud. like shockingly loud haha

Did you loose any power (low end torque) with removing the suitcase resonators? I hear a lot of people lose power by removing stock resonators.

Carlos Madera no power loss that i can feel (didn’t know if this question was about my setup or the video) however i have not had it on a dyno before/after for true numbers. using the performance page ran a 4.5 0-60 with it on the other day, under bad road conditions though. never had it on a track

James Stinson that was my first video when I kept the flaps. It was horrible with the flaps.. now it's 2.5" resonators on each side and custom X-pipe.. sounds great and no drone..
hamod sh I deleted the stock res. Made a custom X pipe and added high flow res.
hamod sh the res was from eBay. Honestly don’t remember the size. Did you also cut out the flaps? I completely took them out. At first I welded them open but it made some weird noises.
