How cool would of been if the remake we got to see Nemesis fight a Tyrant and absorb it? I also have no idea how that helicopter knew where to find Jill but whatever. "You want S.T.A.R.S?" might be my favorite non RE4 moment on the series. So empowering. I stand by this game being better then the Remake. Maybe I'll stream that sometime.

My audio is much louder than the game these first couple of parts, my apologies. Might have to adjust your device audio inbetween cutscenes to compensate. Also i am an idiot but luckily figure it out pretty quickly next episode. Anyway RE3 is pretty rad and I haven't played it in like 6-7 years. Let's revisit it shall we?

Someone please help, how does quick turning actually work? Do I have to tap the opposite shoulder button of the direction I want to go, and then hold the shoulder button in the direction I want to go, or do I have do slightly hold it?
Not making the quick turn natural to figure out like in all other arcade racing games was the dumbest idea ever, it killed F-Zero GX's chances of being enjoyable to the general public, even though it looked very exciting to play. This game would have been a worldwide Smash hit like Mario Kart if Nintendo had done the control scheme properly. What a disaster!.
Cool video! I wanna touch on the 'BACKTRACKING' thing,, in a lot of ways this was the true essence of survival horror and original RE.... it was in those moments when I was comletely lost in a room far away from a save point when I encountered a key item and something clicked and I knew which room I had to go back to, not the exact location but roughly..... I'd be on caution with low ammo knowing there was a licker or another enemy blocking the route back to that room, stopping and thinking about alternate routes or going back another way to collect a weaopn I couldn't get earlier so I could get past and reach the goel... THIS was the essence of RE! something which never happens anymore after completing the game hundreds of times and memorizing everything..... the backtracking is a neccesary evil and not at all annoying! we can get this feeling back with randomisers etc but man I wish I could erase my memory and play this game for the first time again!
1:01 I think it's better to make B as Boost, Z as Side Attack, Y as Spin Attack and X as Brake. If you're transferring from F-Zero X, these controls are perfect. I just wished Spin Attack was L,L or R,R inputs, and Side Attack was L,R,L or R,L,R inputs. It frees more buttons, right? Maybe map boost to L+R if you're used to the boosting system from Crash Team Racing or Crash Nitro Kart, and keep the optional boost macro if you're used to F-Zero X's boosting system.
I beat chapter 2 of the story mode after only doing the first grand prix on easy
F-zero GX is so great because of how ridiculously hard it is, kinda like how Dark Soul is liked for it difficulty too. There like an weird feelling of joy and accomplishement that these types of game give when you finally master theses game's mechanics.
To make the controls even easier, I put "Slide Left Right" on the analog stick as well. Spin Attack is also great for getting around hairpins easier.
"You will literally never brake in an F-Zero game." Braking saved my bacon in Serial Gaps.
as you said, you don’t know much about racing games so naming a racing game with SPACE SHIPS instead of cars as greatest is funny at l least and even in this category there were many better games
Story mode isn’t that difficult. As long as you learn to stay on track and save your boost for optimal times, you’ll be fine.
what so hard about it?
The speed and the physic of the game, you need great reflexes and game knowledge to be good at it. The game is hard to master but not unfair unlike the game story mode which actually use unfair bots which can boost like there no tomorrow without any drawback or their machines go way too fast that is evenly possible...
@@Patchuiko the speed is quite average, the tracks are extremely easy, the handling is good and simple. Yes, bors are unfair in story mode, which doesn’t make a game looks better. There are many harder, faster and better racing sci-fi races.

5:23 - "It might feel a little cheap" With how hellish Story Mode is, I don't think there's a single person who had ever felt cheap taking Black Bull out in Chapter 7.
One last tip that I'd add is, when you're in a long and relatively-straight piece of track where minimal, if any, turning is required to stay on the track without bumping into walls, yet the track is littered with boost pads, bombs, and/or patches of rough ground (such as Casino Palace: Split Oval, or Aeropolis: Multiplex), to get into the habit of using the L and R trigger buttons to slide left and right, which would cause your vehicle to slide left or right without changing the vehicle's orientation in the process, allowing you to better stay aligned parallel with the track as you maneuver the vehicle to avoid those obstacles and hit those boost pads (unlike turning the vehicle, which would add the unnecessary complication of having to re-orient the vehicle to be parallel with the track).
Depends on the vehicle. Some vehicles lose next to no speed while turning with the stick. But I'm pretty sure most vehicles lost at least a LITTLE speed when using the air brakes as you mentioned.
The quickturn is essential for beating the game, especially with a custom build focusing on top speed.

Gotta add a comment on this video: Calibration. That should be one of the first things players do when starting GX. It's in Options and once there, go to recalibrate the Controller. The default calibration for GX is extremely sensitive. Increasing the deadzone makes every vehicle a lot easier to control.
Just did this and it makes the ride way more enjoyable.
When you say dead zone, would you mean the blue or the red section of calibrating?
If playing through dolphin, someone made a mod to replace the music, with the much much better music from F-Zero X (N64)
I just use a custom machine with DBB, good speed and cornering, body rarely breaks, and no real downsides
sucks there's no indie successor to f-zero
Check out Redout and Redout 2, quite challenging, rubbish music though.

@@johnnytplaysmusic Unfortunately, yeah :( I do have seen gameplay of It, and from It I thougth the soundtrack was pretty cool for being on the N64. Then I listened to the soundtrack of the game, and man, *wild* Is how I would describe It. It' Is so expressive, I would hardly believe something like that was on the N64. (and then there Is the album)

just completed claire a on normal and it was honestly piss easy. and i am really not that great at resident evil. i know there are some versions out there that only give you 2 ribbons instead of 3, maybe those are also more difficult in other aspects i dont know.

I heard you can unlock F Zero AX on by using an action replay. Is that true and does it also work for dolphin? This game is awesome btw. A beautiful game, and this is one of the few really hard games that kick my but that I love and will play again and again
Hi, that's actually something i've never been quite able to understand. So first of all, the AX content is all unlockable in GX. The Racers are unlocked by beating Story Mode missions on Very Hard and the courses by winning cups in Master. So if you just want to play the AX content you can without cheats. Now from what I have seen the AX arcade game is accessible through GX through a gameshark or action replay. This let's you boot up the actual AX game through GX. I am someone who has played a lot of gamecube games through nintendont on Wii and has Swiss enabled on my gamecube but never really tried it and honestly dont fully understand. it is probably not that hard but i am dumb. I assume it would work through Dolphin. tcrf.net/F-Zero_GX/AX_Game_Mode The cutting Room floor (great site) adds to the confusion a little by claiming "To be clear, "F-Zero AX" is not "inside F-Zero GX" - they simply share a lot in common. So to me (and this is where it gets confusing to say out loud) this seems to imply you can boot a verion of ax within gx that lets you play it like the arcade game (with a timer and the unique courses) however it is not 100% the arcade game. Im not sure if this is just due to difference in controller (arcade steering wheel and pedals vs gamecube controller) or if there is also other differences in the code. So basically yes AX is playable through GX but also it is open to interpretation. For most people however this probably counts as playing AX however if someone was very pedantic they could argue it.

holy cow.. ive been playing this since it was released.. and never knew about the camera angle. GAME changer. Also I never used the fast turns and that shit is 100% needed if u want to beat deathborne on the hardest difficulty. I didnt think I could beat it before, but definitely think I can now..

@@ottomatic6976 For the longest time, I just used the spin attack to get through those hairpins lol. I just now figured out how to quick turn from experimenting with chapter 8 on very hard. Game makes so much more sense now
Don't sleep on Deep Claw, it's a very good machine for newcomers as well.
I would have to agreen. Deep Claw is a really good beginner vehicle. The only thing it lacks are some of the advanced tech like MTS, but when starting out, MTS is the last thing you should be worrying about
Astro Robin and Deep Claw are a incredible machine for newcomers

I don't think RE2 Remake is better than OG RE2, because it lacks the Zapping System (The most important and distinctive feature from the original game). I personally recommend to play both versions of RE2, because each one has their own unic features contrary to RE1 vs RE1 Remake, Remake of RE1 completly erased/replaced OG RE1.

I find fixt camera angles super disorienting even with tank controls. I don't mind tank controls with ots games like re4.
