its just so punchy, so so so punchy part of Beyond the Dark Sun by Wintersun, played in standard tuning. using a looper to get the lead and some fancy footwork to make it repeat correctly-ish. close 2nd is that part in Sons of Winter of Stars, Teemu's favorite riff.

Using a looper to get the harmonies. I was figuring this out by ear but never got around to it, I don’t know if this riff is actually correct but it’s fun to play and sounds cool.

I was visiting my parents for the holidays and recorded this in January 2016 to track progress as I was learning this song. At some point I stopped practicing it and can no longer play this, and I'm not planning on relearning it because I'm not really that great of a guitarist and it took a long time, so please excuse the mistakes, I still didn't have it down at this point.
