My initial thought was, "Holy S#|+, over $400 bucks for a pair of boots...they must be nuts!" But after two seasons of blister ridden elk hunts in steep terrain, I acquiesced. Thoughts now...I'll never run anything but Hoffman boots. No better boot made that I have ever seen. Well worth investing in a product that adds value at every use. If you're thinking about em, get em, cause you need em!

I've been to the Hoffman store in Kellogg, it's worth a visit. I think they're missing out on potential sales though. Baffin decided to go offshore with their production and they aren't as popular as they once were on the North Slope. If the double insulated pac boot was available with a safety toe I know everyone on my crew would be buyers.

You ever use a under quilt?

I have the Explorer 8" insulated and the 6" explorer with the armor coat. Hands down the best hunting boots Ive every had. I tried Crispi, I tried Danner and Ive had a lot of others.. Hoffman boots fit my feet right. No slippage, No hot spots, comfortable, great traction. Hoffman just needs a serious marketing campaign and they would be as big as Kennetrek or Crispi. Superior product in my opinion

That setup is 100% money. Light weight, fast setup/teardown and gets you off the ground with ample cover. Back country comfort at its finest. 🤘🏼
