Great interview. Proud New Zealander here
This was awesome. Loved it please have more guests like him who are pushing the frontier of space. And have they already started mass manufacturing? Can they fulfill the demand if say I need 10 mega watt solar panels?
Hello sir are you looking for a professional RUclips thumbnail designer and video SEO expert?
Very good interview
nice interview. just bought 5000stocks of $satl
Mo REALLY likes talking finance.
Brilliant conversation, great cadence. Enjoyed the non-typical questions and prompts.
Please Beck, don't get high on the smell of your own farts. Stay grounded, and keep pushing hard.
Awesome interview and context. I continue to be impressed by Rocket Lab and will continue to cheer them on! 👍🚀⭐️
A great interview! Stefan Powell is seriously impressive and Dawn Aerospace fills a niche nobody else is looking at.
Here 9:30-, which book he mentioned? Steve Sakowitz? What's the title called? Anyone got it 🙋
Great staff, dude! You have got a new subscriber.
What a great podcast Mo!
Mr. Conman @24:00 : 'One of the lessons of SpaceX; the Faster the Cheaper' Reality: 3 types of Services - Fast - Good - Cheap Can only pick 2 Fast & Good won't be Cheap Good & Cheap won't be Fast Cheap & Fast won't be Good But Mt Jed claims, that SpaceX has shown that Good & Fast ends up being Cheaper, which results in successful missions. DYOR people, is what SpaceX is doing indeed Fast & Good? And is it really Cheap(er)? And does it really result in more successful missions?? Don't buy into the hype people
What about Astroponics, & radiation hardening for electronics for Artemis?
Great job!
It’s time to GO! Hell yeah. Listening to this guy motivates me to get something done. Anything. Let’s do it! Pumped.
This was a complete waste of time. Payload: you guys can't have museum level companies on your show and expect them to say anything interesting.
This is great forwarded thinking. And realistic. But first, lets get to the moon. Then robotic, and feet, on the ground. Remember, you have limitless energy from the sun. Nuculear is going to be a means to provide power from atart to getting established.
I simply can not get my head around the fact that you don't have three gazillion subscribers. I mean WTF?
thank you for bringing this exceptional quality covering the space on youtube. Would love an episode on the game theoretical drivers of the heating lunar race with near and long term implications
Lovely interview ❤
Lidar satellites can have a spot size of 17m-100m diameter, but lets be nice and assume this can point and steadily focus a beam to a spot size of 3m by 3m (this would need a laser aperature of like 50 cm btw). Now for this to be worth it to customers their 3 by 3 panel needs to produce at least 5x what a normal solar panel would per unit area (It would still not work in bad weather btw). Assuming panel on the ground only gets 30% efficiency and with LEO orbit we only get power during the day we now need 30x more solar panel area in space as the area on the ground (16m by 16m space solar panel per satellite) and a 50 kW laser which aint cheap. So now we also have like 5% or less coverage because of LEO orbit so this requires hundreds of these just to power one panel continuously. The icing on the cake? It will be a death laser 5 times as powerful as the sun in IR and melt people. Just put the solar panels on the ground guys.
AST Spacemobile will dominate D2C from space.
Interesting they flaunt all these new technologies that are "soon" but then have no plan to test until after Artemis 3, which puts these ideas a decade away at best. Also just a spit-take regarding how ungodly long Orion has taken that Tim spent 10 years on Orion before moving on in 2016!!!
There's a rather gigantic elephant in the room here, when talking about a lunar architecture. Seems to me if you're not at all mentioning the Starship HLS, you're ignoring what is very likely to be a very big part of all this. You're not going to have such huge pressurized volumes on the surface of the moon and not do a lot of stuff with them. I realize this is sort of Lockheed Martin PR, but still.
Great interview and Mason turned into one hell of an impressive guy. 🚀
Thisman is much logical than Elon
Whenever I'm in the mood for some sad moping and whimpering, I know I can always check out the latest upload on this channel
I think he is right. Space needs a business case beyond communications and remote sensing. I dont know what this could be.
Space colonies as a solution to the housing crisis.
.space domains are pretty cheap tbh
34:01 The Joint Function of Movement-and Maneuver is paramount for victory in any conflict. Orbit Fab represents that aspect for Space Power. There's a reason the most powerful expeditionary Air Force uses Aerial Refueling for power projection. This is just that but in space.
For me, this was one of the most interesting Payload episodes so far.
I concur
Good stuff
The green outline on Peter in the thumbnail looks like a bad greenscreen. It should be made thicker so it doesn't look like a mistake.
Great interview, 90 percent of you tube is average to garbage and then you find a interview with a company and leader like this, real happy also to know that the Australian future fund has backed this company with some serious financial backing..As an Australian couldn't be more happy for a new zealand company..Brillant !!
Great interview. Thank you!!
When you listen to an intelligent, humble, and realistic CEO who's not a racist troupe, peddling fake news online is a breath of fresh air.
Only real Musk's rival in terms of common sense engineering and business decisions.
I thought we might get a Venus question.
Fantastic interview. Love this guy, very down to earth.
41:38 but not as much as a spoon
100% love Rocket Lab and 100% love this interview. It is kind of nuts how lovable Rocket Lab and Peter are. I don't think I've ever heard an interview from a big shot like this that talks so intelligently about the entire space industry.
It’s refreshing to hear these private companies obsessing over penny pinching
Very good interview!
the audio quality from Peter is absolutely wild, how can it be so good?
I am surprised by the shirt! I did not expect the second stage to be that big! Looks like the chomper is going to have to be quite big!
Beck is a bad ass!
did you watch "wild wild space"? I had no idea that Peter was such a mad lad. If you haven't, you have to check it out!
Love the gangsta shades... Holding 2600 shares, and feeling a bit gangsta myself.
lol congrats, I hadn't noticed the recent bump :).
Great interview!
