      Thank you! The zinnias I planted are thriving and I’m so excited to see them. Also the tiny holly hock is hanging on. I did leave the jalapeño plant! Sadly though, it didn’t make it. It was too little still. It was at least 2 weeks behind the other plants I transplanted and it just needed more time in the house before facing the harsh sun.

    I would cut down on tithing for now. Use 10 percent for car payment. Then when your husband gets a raise get back into donating. I used to know a family or so who could not buy a car . I had offered three of my cars for free to families like yourself. I say save the 10 percent for car payment. When you buy a car stick to Toyota or Honda. Other option approach the organization that collects car donations. Sometimes if you approach a dealership and tell them your situation they will go easy on their profit. Take all your kids to dealership so they can understand. You are not taking advantage. We all I'm society should provide help to such situations

    A trad wife does a lot of work. After my wife passed away I realized it more. Now I cook meals for myself. When she was alive she took care of so many things around the house, I had a high stress job working 70 hrs many times getting paid for 48 as an Engineer. There is no way I could handle to stress of work if I did not get this care. Today when I do cook for myself it is not fun to sit alone and eat the food. So I give extra to all my friends. Believe me Trad wives jobs are full time as well. It is a career by itself.

    We were fortunate that I earned enough to allow my wife to stay at home, look after the yung uns, do the house work and cooking. I did the yardwork, caar repairs and house maintenance and upgrades so it wasn't one sided arrangement as some would insist. It was a struggle but we managed to buy a home, car and still take a couple of vacations. The worst part was being mocked by the wives who were out working and punting their kids off to daycare. 45 years later were still going strong.

    • @themeltingpoint2
      @themeltingpoint2 Год назад

      Yes! I get that and felt the same for a long time. Set a goal. My husband and I started with just 3 days a week. Mon, Tues, and Fri we woke up early before the kids. Knowing that on the other days I could sleep later made it easier. You’ll possibly see how much happier you feel on those days when you got that time and it’ll turn into 4 or 5 days a week. I’m currently waking up early 6 days a week and sleeping in as late as the baby will let me on Saturday. I hope it works out for you, but give yourself Grace. This season of life won’t be forever.

    • @Boringcountrylife
      @Boringcountrylife Год назад

      The only way to do it long term and be healthy is to go to sleep early the night before. My kids are ages 11-20 now. When they were small bedtime was 6:30 for them and no later than 9 for adults (standard time). Now, the younger two head to their bedrooms between 7 and 7:30 and have to have lights out at 8 and 8:30. That gives adults a few hours alone and quiet before we go to bed. Waking up at 5 am is easy. The quiet of morning is my FAVORITE me time.

    • @KatG5286
      @KatG5286 Год назад

      Thank y’all so much. Bedtime is a challenge for us with my husbands work schedule and attempting to have family time but there is definitely room for improvement. I’ve been challenging myself to be more structured and scheduled and this can be a way to work on that.

    My advice to the single men who are looking for a wife. Don’t marry (or court for that matter) any women who has long conversations with men staring directly in their eyes. My dad gave me that advice when I was a teenager and thank God I listened. I got a beautiful wife who I never once worried if she was cheating on me. I trust her with all my heart because she never gave me a reason to.

    I had a job when I had my baby, so a lot less time to do housework and care for my baby than you, and I still didn't babywear for chores or put my baby in a swing. Baby swings are the wrong angle and are a SIDS risk, the baby belongs on a flat surface. Any device that leaves the baby propped up before they are ready to sit can cause them to sit before they crawl, when the proper developmental progression is crawl, tripod sit, then sit. I had my baby on the floor as I did chores if it wasn't naptime in her crib. Babywearing is SIDS safe and supports their physical development, but I wanted my baby to be happy without being constantly worn or rocked. She was only babyworn outside the house (which was a lot since we only walked, she was almost never in a carseat in a car), and she was a happy girl both at home and at festivals and parties. Also, modern Western culture is the only one in history to potty train after 12 months. I pottied my baby from birth, but didn't keep up with it full time due to being tired from my job. My baby was having 0-3 accidents a day for a while when I fully took her out of diapers at 16 months. If you're really wanting to be a traditional wife, part of tradition is having them out of diapers at 12 months or walking if they walk after 12 months.
